This was our first Journey's cruise. We did not know what to expect. Out of 3800 Passengers, 1800 were Platinum and about 100 were diamond. This means you will wait if you aren't diamond or platinum. If I had to do it over, I would have waited to become platinum before doing this cruise. The ship is awesome but I will now add cough syrup to the list. Many got an upper respiratory virus on this cruise which is not Carnival's fault; however, they could have done a better job cleaning. I noticed the Breeze did not have as many alcohol gel stations as other ships. The bathrooms often have 4 stalls and only one dryer which means people will NOT wash their hands. I hope they get this figured out.

Fast and efficient. Got on early and no waiting.

Food and Dining

The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because of the Steakhouse. Our waitress acting like we were putting her out by being there. She was friendly to the table next to us but spent most of her time in the back. When I received my salad, she immediately began bussing the next table and didn't offer fresh pepper. I couldn't get her attention and finally got another waitress to bring over. The main dining room food was excellent as was the staff. I didn't like being assigned late dining and due to the number of Diamond & Platinum guests, changing was not possible.

Trivia is great but a warning to first time journeys cruisers, Diamond and Platinum guests know all the answers and will pride themselves in taking the ship-on-a-stick away from you.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Did not attend stage shows as we've seen them before. Mark Preston was very good as a walk-on performer as well as the juggler. Comedy shows were good except for 2 comedians that put the crowd to sleep. Carl Strong made everyone laugh so hard they were falling out of their chairs. CoCo was the comedy host and she was AMAZING. She is well on her way to Cruise Director. The Sea Sharps with a side of Diggity was one of the best bands I've seen on a cruise ship. When they play jazz/blues they sound like grammy award winning artists!

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiters in the main dining room were amazing. Esumitra, Zara, and Joaquim made us feel like we were the only ones dining. You really get to know someone when you sail for 14 days. Millicent at the coffee bar was absolutely awesome. If you haven't tried the coffee bar you are missing out! Room stewards were a bit odd on this cruise. I know Carnival has assigned them 35 rooms to be done by 11am so they always seem rushed and miss things. They were very friendly and greeted us each day in the hallway. Room Service was prompt and very courteous. Great job to the staff!
Ship Quality

Layout was the typical "Dream" Class ship. I did notice there were not as many stewards cleaning the common areas.
Cabin / Stateroom

First time for us in a Cove Cabin. I felt the balcony was well protected and spacious, allowing a view of the pier runners (get the port side). Room was typical of any Carnival cruise. Felt the cleanliness could have been better. Stewards used to turn down your bed in the evening and replace towels. They are so busy now this isn't possible and that's a shame.
Ship tip
Use deck 4 to cross the ship and avoid the smoky casino.
Loved being able to stay in port until 11pm. This takes the pressure off to be back on the ship by 4:30pm. Aruba has a rich history so take a highlights tour to see multiple things.
Took a highlights tour and learned a lot about the island. Rihanna is from here and the natives could not be more proud. You'll hear a lot of her music throughout the island.
Be prepared for windy mountain roads. It took 4 hours round trip to go 26 miles on the island. The Grand Pitons are the highlight so don't forget to get selfies and have fun!
Another port rich in history. Make sure you see the church which was founded in the 1600's along with the stone fort overlooking the Caribbean sea. Beautiful scenery!
One of the most green countries in the Caribbean. This is one port I would recommend using the Carnival Excursions. They will not wait for non-sponsored tours and the traffic can be busy.
The new disembarkation process makes it a snap. No more showing your passport as they have facial recognition. We did express and were off the ship by 0900.
We also go sick as well as the two other couples we were with on this cruise. When we returned i found out a neighbor disembarked from the Breeze the day we got on. They were sick also. That’s the chance you take when cruising. Oh well we still made the best of it and had a great time, all things considered. Been on the Breeze twice. Both journey cruises. We would not hesitate to do it again.
We are Platinum and the main benefits are you get on quick and if you have a problem your line is shorter (maybe). If you need it, take your own gel. It doesn't work anyway. The alcohol contact time isn't long enough to kill the stronger bacteria. We don't even use the stuff in our Lab. Get anytime dining, the longest we've ever had to wait was 30-minutes. It gives you time to people watch. Eventually you'll make it to Platinum and then people will be complaining about you. Cruising is fun, just go with the flow.
For heavens sake we just went on a 24 night cruise and a good half was platinum and diamond we are diamond and really doesn't make any difference you get jack crap for platinum and diamond anyway as long as you enjoy your cruise who cares about status !!!!!
