Mr. Eduardo and Mr. Cabral (waiter and Junior waiter) made my whole trip wonderful. They gave me the best service and I truly enjoyed the cruise because of them. by MrVegas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was an excellent cruise. We liked the idea of a smaller ship. Also, there was always something to do on the ship. The food and waiter service (Eduardo and Cabral) made the cruise a delightful and enjoyable experience.

Eastern Caribbean by jlucas5414

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Having cruised with princess many times, I can see many cutbacks. Happy hour was a great gathering point for people traveling with others. That is gone. Pool game favorites are gone. Low budget entertainers. No hot food!

Great Cruise Great Place thing to aviod on ship and land. GC, Bel,Hon and Coz by nothumn1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Fun cruise. First one in a long time. Food not so impressive. Best was Sabatinis by long shot and the Pizza place. Not enough chairs for the movies so plan ahead. DO NOT WASTE YOR TIME on Cruise store promotions. They don't give away anything worth bothering with. If they were serious about this stuff they would put up some cash or $1000 voucher. Especially if they want you to buy stuff in the $10K plus range.

Nice change from weeks of business travel by etoddp09

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was about our 4th cruise together. We enjoyed the quiet time at sea, made new friends at any-time dining each night, and throughout the cruise. The cabin was very nice for our needs with plenty of hanging space and the on-TV entertainment was up to date and good for our times to escape from the crowds. Disappointed in the meat meals at dinner, fish and poultry were fine. Beverage service at dinner was a bit lacking or hit-and-miss. All in all, we recommend Princess (especially for an Alaskan cruise) and this itinerary.

Princess Caribbean Review May 26th - June 2nd by hwillgtr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Getting on and off the ship was a breeze. For getting off the ship you can carry your own luggage off and they start getting you off at 7:30AM. The dinners were great and the service excellent! I have been on 22 cruises and Princess Caribbean's beds were the most comfortable I have ever experienced. Lido food in the afternoon was ok. Room service was great very fast getting to your room. They offer soda cards $56.00 for each one. The drink cards very expensive I think they were over $400 per card. If you go to Princess Cays bring scuba shoes or rubber shoes because the water when you walk in has rocks not pleasant. Overall the ship and the cruise were great you will have a fun time with Princess Caribbean. If you are thinking about taking a cruise on this ship do it!!

Amazing cruise. Can't wait to go again by fglinefan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

All this good was Amazing except steamers. I paid 44.00 for a meal that was truthfully something I could have gotten at long John silvers. We were very unhappy with this night. But the next night we went to the grill. Our waitress was spectacular. We d definitely come back again

Wish the weather was better by dllynch

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Despite the persistent rain, we had a great time and the crew did an excellent job of rolling with the punches. When most all of the shore excursions were cancelled for our final port, they made a point to keep everyone on board informed and updated us throughout the morning as things were cancelled, cheerfully refunding our money. It was a great experience, and we will definitely cruise with them again.

Won't be trying Princess Cruiseline again by OneandDone

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I've cruised on various cruiselines before and I was a little disappointed. I loved the size and organization of the cabin with lots of closet space for two. But I'm giving it 2 stars because of the following. We had plumbing problems with the toilet (wouldn't flush for a couple of mornings and in one instance it took them 2 hours to finally fix the issue -- and they didn't have to come into the cabin to fix it). We were without water in cabin from 9a - 1p one day at sea as they had to fix plumbing in our area. It took us 2-3 days to finally get the mini fridge replaced after numerous calls about the fact that it wasn't working. They broke the handle on one of my suitcases and now I have to file a claim. We had to request the complimentary robes. We were on the 8th floor and ALL of the Oceanview staterooms had obstructed views because of the location of the boats. We had 2 cabins and because of their location, it was about 1/4 less obstructed. But I thought that was utterly ridiculous. Why not have the boats lower considering the cost of the Oceanview cabins? It's a very much older crowd (which was cool to see that you can still have a good time cruising when older), but the environment is a little different. In speaking with a few other prior Princess guests, they weren't thrilled with this particular boat and expressed a difference from other experiences with Princess. I won't be using this cruiseline in the near future.

Beyond our expectation. Food, service, cleanliness, kids club, itinerary,... worth the trip. by carolrio

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Loved my Cruise at Princess. Beyond our expectation. Food, service, cleanliness, kids club, itinerary,... worth the trip. The islands are one of the most beautiful from Caribbean. Bonaire was a very positive surprise. Never had a chance to swim so close to a huge ship with so clean and transparent water. Loved the kids club. They were all very professional and patient. Every day they had different activities for the kids. The only disappointment was the noise in the cabin late at night during performances ( be aware of the noise if staying above theater). We enjoyed so much that we are already considering the next cruise with Princess.

Great Cruise and Ports of Call, Some improvements desired by marser79

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Overall we enjoyed the cruise and the ports of call. Our biggest issue was the cabin bathrooms. The shower was so small that if you dropped your sponge or soap, you could not bend over to pick it up. Compared to NCL, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean, shower is by far the smallest and most uncomfortable. Also, there was no working ventilation system to draw out the steam, moisture, or air from the small bathroom and when inquiring the steward, we were told the whole ship was having trouble with this issue. It made it uncomfortable for our family of 3 to use the bathroom after each other, as one person takes a shower, and the bathroom gets so steamy and hot for a long time that you really try to avoid going in there if you can help it. Smell, same uncomfortable concept. Some common areas on the ship seemed to struggle with the AC too.

Loads of fun and a smaller ship which had less people. I dont like crowds and this was the perfect size. by wofdrak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

There was one problem. My friend hurt her back and neck and we were told to go to the acupuncture. We saw him 5 times and he stuck her twice. When he saw it was getting worse he never told us to go to the doctor. All he did was bad mouth the doctor and charged us over $400.00. When we went to the medical she was immediate put on and IV for pain. She was so bad off that she missed two shore excursions. One was swimming with the Dophins. The medical around $250.00. She did not get reimbursed on any of her shore excursions because we did not get the insurance. So needless to say she lost over $800.00 because of the acupuncture. Other wise the trip was great. I want to go again.

Fun Eastern Caribbean cruise by shasta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Cruise was very good. There are a few issues the Princess needs to address on this ship. Such as elevators out of service many times, really cold on ship, sewer smell in different areas, no towel animals, no receipts given anymore, no theme nights, need more plugs in cabins for all of the electronics, post Princess Patter around ship in different places and have current postcards on ship of ports visited not past cruises like Panama Canal. Overall it's a beautiful ship.

Enjoyed the Western Caribbean and Panama Canal cruise on Princess. Came back refreshed. by debibehunin2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Loved this cruise. Most of the ports of call had great excursion options. Jamaica and Colombia had fewer options but would still go with limited expectations for these ports. In Jamaica, we went to Blue Hole waterfalls which is not on the ships list but booked separately and really enjoyed this natural feature. Columbia we walked the old city. The Panama Canal and Colon was interesting and worth the trip to see a marvel of human engineering. Loved the rainforest excursions in Costa Rica. In Grand Caymans, the turtles center and the boat with glass sides were both great. While the ship is smaller we found enough to do by playing games on our own in additional to the ship activities.

10 Day Caribbean Princess Cruise - April 21-May 1, 2018 by ctg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

As a result of this cruise, we put down a deposit for another. Although it was our first cruise, Princess really surpassed our highest expectations. Looking forward to seeing how they can impress when we sail next! Would highly recommend this cruise line.
