Caribbean Princess

7 Night Western Caribbean With Bahamas (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)

Sail date: December 19, 2021

Ship: Caribbean Princess

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: B409

Traveled as: Family (young children)

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Review summary

We were never notified that Princess would not be going to Grand Cayman and two other top-notch ports, substituted for Mexico ports. Had we known this, we would have sailed from Galveston Texas (within driving distance for us) instead of leaving from Ft. Lauderdale. Calls to Princess, approximately 7, left us on hold for over an hour.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 has not been kind to cruising and enabling ships to keep original schedules.

We were on the same cruise and received notification of the port changes about two months ago. That port change information was also on our cruise personalizer on the Princess website.

Thanks. Many ports have been canceled due to Covid. Ports have never been guaranteed, but changes are even more prevalent currently. The cruise lines have generally posted on their website and notified passengers via email or by letter once onboard if the changes occurs after departure.
