We had a wonderful time on the Caribbean Princess - we enjoyed all of the ports and all of our excursions. We had a nice mix of active excursions and beach time, which was perfect for us. The ship had great entertainment each night and great service!
Embarkation

Embarkation was extremely easy and quick. We arrived around 3 p.m. and swiftly moved right onto the boat!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was excellent on ship. The main dining room had interesting and new dishes each evening, and our wait staff was attentive and pleasant. We did anytime dining which was very convenient and allowed us to eat at anytime we wanted each night in the main dining room. We tried all four of the specialty restaurants as well - Sabatini's (Italian), Planks (BBQ), Steamers (seafood) and Crown Grill (steakhouse). We really enjoyed all four and went back to Sabatini's for a second time! Tapas at Vines were also excellent and a nice snack/appetizer in the afternoon.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We spent a lot of time at the pool and hot tubs, which were great. We could always find a lounge chair and a nice spot to setup. The fitness center was very nice and never too crowded.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The stage shows were fun and entertaining, and under 45 minutes each night. We went to the stage shows performed by the ships singers/dancers, as well as the comedian, vocal impressionist, and illusionist. The Voice of the Ocean was a very fun take on "The Voice" tv show, where cruise passengers performed onstage backed by the live orchestra. Blue Haze, the party band on ship was awesome!! They performed very often and we really enjoyed them. Funch on the piano at Crooners is also not to be missed.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service was impeccable. Our steward, Noy, was so nice and incredibly helpful!! :) The bartenders were all friendly and very efficient. Each night in the dining room we had different servers (anytime dining), and they all were very nice!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was very clean and kept in great condition. The refurbishments to the ship are beautiful and it is very well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a balcony mini-suite, and we are very glad that we booked that type of room - the mini-suite is great because you get the extra "living room" area. This made our cabin the size of a regular hotel room, which was perfect. The bathroom was also a good size. It was nice having the full-size tub/shower!
Ship tip
Enjoy!! Princess is a class act from start to finish - the service is unmatched and you will have a great time.
We did an excursion on a catamaran to snorkel. The sail on the catamaran was fun and we had a great time snorkeling. The crew of the catamaran was a lot of fun and we saw the beautiful coastline. Spent the afternoon at cockleshell beach and went to the beach bar there for lunch. Water was beautiful and we were able to rent chairs/umbrella and hang out. Look for Timothy (?) Hill - the spot where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea - it's visible from an overlook area that we stopped at on our way back from the beach. Very cool view!!
We ziplined! It was an awesome experience and we would definitely do it again. There were about 13 ziplines that we went on during our tour, and the view was great of the rainforest/mountain area. Went to lunch at Hemingway's (right near the port) - which was great - sat outside on the upstairs terrace area.
We did the Clement Rum Tasting and tour of the Belford banana plantation. Both stops were very cool - the rum tour and tasting was great, we tasted a lot of rum and the estate area is beautiful. The banana plantation involved a tram ride and stops along the way to see the process of growing, shipping and selling bananas. We also got to taste some fun banana products at the end.
We unfortunately had a little rain at Barbados. We did a fun catamaran cruise to snorkel with the sea turtles, but could not snorkel because of the weather. The cruise was still fun and the captain pointed out some points of interest along the coastline. We then went to the Hilton in Barbados for lunch and to stroll around the beach, nice resort and all the beaches are public in Barbados!
We did the Maracas waterfall hike - amazing view when we got to the waterfall. Our guides assisted the large group through the trail and to the waterfall. Took about 45 minutes to hike to it, it did require tourists to be in excellent physical condition to hike it. Parts of the trail are a bit tricky, guides were very helpful and patient. We got to go under the waterfall and take lots of photos.
One of our favorite ports!! We did an awesome ATV off-road adventure with Scooby's Tours through the ship's excursions. They took us to the bat caves, the blow hole and the ostrich farm. Probably our favorite excursion! Then walked across the street to Cabana Beach beach bar and stayed on the beach for the afternoon - best snorkeling that we had! Then had dinner at the Fort restaurant which was beautiful as the sun was setting.
We did a day-pass to the Barcelo Aruba resort - beautiful resort and beach and we had access to their pool, swim-up bar, breakfast and lunch, etc. Great day spent hanging out and glad we did it!
