Review summary

We left from Houston Texas and we delayed because of weather. Although that was very inconvenient, Princess made every effort to make our cruise as enjoyable as possible. The food and entertainment were wonderful.

Ship tip

Sometimes it is hard to find a seat in the buffet eating areas and I would not suggest anytime dining unless you are ok with waiting until 7:30 or 8:00 every night. The shows were some of the best I've ever seen on any ship, and I loved the violinists. Book your spa treatments early as they book up

BY THE WAY, we just got off the Island Princess after a month of cruising. If I understood the story correctly, they actually expanded the seating of the Horizon Court during refurb making it much easier to find an empty seat. Maybe this will be a trend across the fleet.

Great ship. Staff was above and beyond the call of duty. Shore excursions were very enjoyable and well thought out. Food was very very good. Had a great time.

We experienced the same lack of seating issue on the Crown Princess. I think a lot of people discovered the Cafe Caribe option because that was often crowded as well.

When we sailed on the Caribbean Princess last April, we had trouble finding seating in the Horizon Court as well. We then discovered we could get our food at the buffet and go to Cafe Carib (right next to the Horizon Court) and we always found a seat.
