Review summary

A fantastic cruise that exceeded our expectations and has made us want to go again

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was so easy, from terminal to cabin only took 30 minutes, no waiting around and on on ship way before boarding time on ticket.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent, so much choice we didn't get to try the speciality restaurants. Service is great to. Buffet can get a bit busy but there's always a place to sit.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
So many shows to see we did not get to them all, different ones each night and very proffesionally done. Guest acts were great and pianists and singers in bars and lounge areas there's always something to see.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff on board were great, always there when you needed them wether it be to order a drink or clear you plates away. Cabin steward was fantastic looked after us very well and no request was ever too much.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ships design is good but a couple of niggles lets it down from getting 5stars. 1 Sometimes you had to go up to get down to certain areas of the ship namely around the Atrium. 2 On the upper outdoor deck when it rained drainage was a problem large puddles would appear creating a slip hazard. But overall Britannia is a fantastic ship and you never felt to overcrowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was better than I had anticipated, plenty of room and closet space, more than adequate bathroom. Cabin was clean and well maintained.

Ship tip

When you first board spend an hour or 2 just wandering round getting your bearings finding where places are.

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

3 out of 5

Stavanger, Norway

4 out of 5
The main tourist area is only 5 minutes walk from where the boat docks where there are plenty of shops and a small park.

Flam

4 out of 5
Where the boat docks there are some shops and cafes, the Flam railway is only 2 minutes from the boat and there are some nice walks in the area which take in some waterfalls.

Olden, Norway

3 out of 5
Olden is a small village with only a handful of shops to look around. There are buses right where the ship docks to take you up to the Briksdal Glacier.

Bergen, Norway

4 out of 5
Plenty of shopping but a must do is take the Funicular to the top of mount floyen for the great views and where there are some lovely trails by the side of lakes and streams.
