Review summary

The cruise itinerary was great and loved Norway. We both felt that the staff on board of Britannia didn’t seem to want to be there. Food in the MDR was very average so we spent most of our evenings having to pay to eat elsewhere. We usually cruise with Celebrity which is far superior both in Staff awareness/helpfulness, MDR and the whole feel of the ship. Would we go on Britannia again??? If the itinerary suits but, not otherwise.

We did the train trip and arranged it ourselves. Very easy online. If you leave it until the day you arrive, quite a few of the available times are sold out.

Our trip was to the Birksdal Glacier which we arranged via the ship. Fantastic trip, long hike uphill but worth it. Take wet weather clothes. You will get wet even if it’s not raining....

The walking tour was very interesting. Not sure the I e Bar is worth it but, if you have never been, it’s OK. The fish market is amazing, if you like that sort of thing which I do. Have a look round the indoor fish market also.

I suppose it is a matter of taste and cost. We love Celebrity but it is a great deal more expensive.

We sailed on the same ship to norway. Couldnt disagree more with your review. Staff were friendly amd helpful. Great choice in MDR and a different menu each night. Perhaps your expectations were to high or your just a bit picky
