Review summary

We were a bit sceptical going on the Alaska cruise because of the cold. However, I am so happy we did. The experience was rewarding; which brough back many childhood memories and left with more appreciation for life. I saw the people of Alaska with less than we have but yet very happy. I returned and encouraged my family and friends to add Alaska to their bucket list.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Long wait over 3hrs at the Vancouver Terminal. Missed my dose of antibiotic, hungry and discouraged.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Meet our needs.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Daily dance class was good. The instructor was amazing and dedicated.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
DJ was not too good at the club. The first night was good. We went to the club a few nights but left as the music was not very good. Although feedback was provided to the DJ however, no change was made. Danced to Caribbean Vibes, attended one show, we also spend some time at the centrum listening to the the band.

Children's Programs

I did not have children on the cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing service from the dinning room staff who were our servers, bar staff and room Stewart.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well maintained, staff were cleaning daily. Love the small ship, felt like a family cruise. Made many connections with other guest.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I would have preferred to be on a higher deck however, deck 4 provided easy access to the main dinning room and evening activities.

Ship tip

It would be difficult to provide advice as the ship goes to different destination. However, I loved the size of the guest.

We purchased the perfect books for our grand children. "When Grandma and Grandpa cruised through Alaska" and Good night Alaska.

We enjoyed Juneau and the Salmon bake. Was surprised seeing the breathing taking water fall. The free shuttle was also appreciated. We had an opportunity to try the local fish and chips - very good.

5 out of 5
Hoonah left me with added appreciation for the life we have. Enjoyed the nature.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did an excursion - Highlight of Ketchikan. The best part of Ketchikan was the opportunity to actually see a few eagles and took pictures. The tour guide was wonderful.
