Review summary

This was a great travel experience. We started with a day in Venice, rode the highspeed train to Ravenna to see the town and hotel overnight, short bus ride provided by RC to board the ship, visited 5 Greek Islands, a RC sponsored bus ride to Bologna to catch the highspeed train to Florence for 3 days, another ride on the highspeed train back to Bologna for two days before traveling home. My only regret was it was not long enough. I could have stayed 30 days to see all of the great historic places and eat great foods. We can't wait to go back.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room staff were very skilled and focused on guest needs. Buffet contained a good variety of foods all of excellent quality

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools were clean and surrounding areas well maintained. Spa services were great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows were among the best we have seen.

Children's Programs

We have no children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters went above and beyond to assist with special food requests due to allergies. Rooms steward was polite and just got it done with no fuss. All ship staff were friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship layout and design were great for our needs. We saw many staff cleaning handrails and common areas. Tables were quickly sanitized as guests moved on to other activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin size was very good for two people. Bed was comfortable and cleaned each time we left.

Ship tip

Book a cabin with an outside balcony. The view is great, you can watch the docking in privacy and have a private nighttime drink

Ports of call

Ravenna, Italy

5 out of 5
Our cruise started in Ravenna. The ads indicate Venice. Actually Ravenna is a train ride away from Venice. The train experience was inexpensive, fun and we felt very safe.

Kotor, Montenegro

5 out of 5
This is a unique post with a lot of historic elements.

Corfu, Greece

5 out of 5
We loved Corfu and want to go back again to stay several days.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
The best and most physically challenging port but well worth the walk to the top of the Parthanon. It is a MUST SEE.

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
Loved this port, very friendly people live here and made us feel welcomed.

Argostoli, Kefalonia, Greece

5 out of 5
Excellent port to eat great local food and shop.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
RC staff have this down and it is very efficient and well run. RC staff also came to our rescue as our private transport cancelled us last minute to their staff with COVID. RC staff quickly responded and got us a ride on a bus to Bologna.

would you please give details how to ride the train from Venice to Ravenna? I will board Brilliance of the Seas in September for a Greece and Croatia cruise
