Interesting re-positioning cruise

Room Type: Oceanview

Some kinks need working out since refurbishing. Staff was excellent and efficient, except security personnel, who were rude and incompetent, and ill trained. Guests were treated like criminals, putting a definite damper on shore experience upon return. Guests were told to delete pictures of leaving the ship because it was a "security area." One passenger was publicly strip-searched in line. This was after security checks on shore by shore authorities. American's weren't as outraged as the Europeans.

Pros: The unusual ports of call

Cons: Security personnel rudeness

Recommends Brilliance of the Seas? Yes!

Tangier, Morocco
Don't ride the shuttle bus. Beware of strangers offering to guide you. People were generally friendly and helpful, Most spoke English or French. It was exotic and interesting and could be a good port pf call with fine tuning.
Don't Miss: Medina and Casbah were colorful, exotic and fun. buyer beware
Vigo, Spain
The local bus tour is a bargain and well run. Old town oyster restaurants were quaint and well run.
Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France
Local bus service is excellent and much better bargain than the tours, but some knowledge of French is helpful.. Villefranche is a favorite port from which to embark on excursions, such as Nice, Monoco, Eze, and Cannes
Ajaccio, Corsica
History buffs will like the Napoleon sites. Town site is interesting and different. Easy walking and easy to find things. The natives were friendly and helpful
Lisbon, Portugal
The tour was dampened by the rain. Lavatory facilities on busses were closed and facilities hard to locate and use
