Review summary

Had a great time. Well worth it. Bartenders need more training. Too many variations of the same drink. Last 5 cruises wre Carnival. I think the beds are more comfortable and the main dining room is better, the RC Entertainment is far above the others.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We purchased the "KEY". Got on right away and had a private lunch.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We were 4 of us. Originally had us as 2 tables of 2 in 2 different dining rooms. Took 2 days to correct. Main dining room food only ok. Service was rushed for our eating style. We no sooner finished 1 course and the next was put down. All specialty restaurants were fantastic. Wanted to have lunch at Sushi restaurant and they had a "Roll your own class" during lunch basically shutting down the restaurant. Should have been after lunch hours.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
They really need to enforce the 30 minute rule on blocking loungers by the pools.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The best quality of entertainment over any other cruise line we've been on.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room stewards were great. Waiter was good but rushed our meals (We were late dining)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Elevators got dirty and only got cleaned late at night. Everyplace else was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very nice & roomy. Balcony a good size for 2 people. Bed & pillows too firm for our comfort.

Ship tip

Get the "KEY". Many great perks.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Went to Horseshoe Beach - Beautiful. Took a cab to get there ahead of the buses. Very crowded and only 2 ships in port.

We love St Maarten. Out on our own, no excursion.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

Stayed on the ship and enjoyed the pool area with no one around.

You missed a great, exclusive port in Labadee. The Key is something that you can purchase through Royal that gives you a lot of "suite" options for an extra cost. It includes internet, priority boarding, embarkation day lunch, reserved areas for the shows, private times of some ship activities.
