Review summary

This was a great cruise overall. One problem was that after going in for dry dock repairs the ms Amsterdam is still not ready. There were major water leaks during the whole cruise. Also some of the cabins got flooded & had toilets overflow. This happened on the starboard side of the ship. At night they had crews spraying & cleaning the carpets, probably for mold. Also Holland America seems to be lagging behind other cruise lines concerning the boarding & disembarking process. Several places we stopped & at the beginning of the cruise this was a problem. The entertainment was pretty good but was more along the lines of a Las Vegas lounge act. The best entertainment on the ship was Larry Steele in the piano bar.  Other than that it was an awesome cruise.

Nice cabin. Very well located.

Ship tip

This ship is very easy to get around on. We stayed in cabin 6200 and moving from place to place was quite easy. We never even needed the elevators.
