This was our 4th cruise and our second on the Allure of the Seas. All an all we had an excellent time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had Everything we needed. Excellent choices in entertainment and plenty to do on the ship to keep you as busy as you wanted on days at sea. We have been on smaller ships and to us it felt like there were more on them. They were crowded everywhere. On Allure it never felt that way. There were plenty of elevators and it was easy to get around the ship. I highly recommend Royal Caribbean. I personal felt we could have spent less time in the Bahamas and more time in Costa Maya.

The food was excellent. We ate in the dining room which we prefer. We always excellent service and plenty of options to choose from. Breakfast we also did in the dining room. We always order their french toast off the menu and it is amazing.

Service and Staff

We had excellent service!!!!!! From the time we got on the ship and met Phillip our room steward who took Excellent care of us and our rooms were spotless. Then we had Amir and Chen who took care of us every night in the dining room. They remembered our drink order and how much we like bread and had it for us every night. They were the best. All the the rest of the personnel on the ship were always friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality

For us it was an easy layout to get around on the ship and easy to find the different shops on the different levels. It is a beautiful ship. We enjoyed going down to Central Park and walking around and enjoy all the plants. They were always cleaning on the ship from wiping down all the banisters and door knobs and keeping the floors clean and keeping the water wiped up around the pools and hot tubs.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was a good size and spotless we had plenty of closet and dresser space. I wish the mattress was a little softer.
Ship tip
Arrive early to beat the rush. We got at the port at 9:30 and we got through security fast and we were on the ship by 11 and having lunch. Do early online check in. Book your shows as early as possible. We did ours months ahead of time. We also booked our main dining room early. That way there is not waiting in lines at the guest service.
Had a great time there. We didn’t do the water park. There was plenty of places to sit and lay out and swim and snorkel. The food and drinks were great. Plenty of choices for food off their buffet which they had several so it wasn’t packed so it went fast. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We had been here before and enjoyed it. We went to Chakanaab for the day. Get your tickets through their resort and not in port. It comes with free lunch and drinks. The food was bland and not a lot to choose from. Drinks were good. We did have to walk a bit to get a spot to sit. But the water was beautiful and we snorkeled and saw different types of fish and the coral reef. It was definitely worth it. There was a sea lion show (free) and you could swim with the dolphins at an extra cost. They had a pretty Botanical garden and a Mayan ruin. It’s a great way to spend the day and it is close to the port.
Not a lot to do unless you wanted to drive for a hour or more and our stay wasn’t long enough to do an excursion. We did do some shopping. Be prepared to haggle. They start really high. A shirt started at 65 and got them down to 25. Our daughter went to town on a trolly and did get a massage for an hour for $20. Right on the beach and loved it. The water was beautiful to see. Would have liked to gone to a beach close by but didn’t see any.
We were supposed to go to Honduras and they switched to Bahamas not a good trade off. Not a lot to do. We did do some shopping then got back on the ship. The water was beautiful.
It could use a little improvement. They do a great job with the amount of people. They could be a little more organized on getting people off the ship and pass security.
We were on the Allure in November and loved it. The only time it felt very crowded was our last port day at CocoCay which was canceled. They said they received reports we would not be able to dock with rough seas. That day also happened to be very cold and dreary so no one was at the pools. Making the Promenade very very busy. Still loved the ship, shows and the delicious food in MDR. The Park Cafe was also great for lunch. Delicious salads and prime rib sandwiches. Besides all the desserts,
