All in all, this was one of the best cruises I've taken....this was number 18. The other guests were cordial. Staff friendly. Good service. Dining room attendants were fabulous. Perfect weather. No rain. No ocean motion for those who don't like it. Great shows. The Christmas tree lighting occurred while we were onboard, so it was fun to see it transition to holiday decor. The Allures 9th anniversary during our sailing, so a replica cake of the ship was made and a piece given to everyone who wanted some. We also had an anniversary cake at each table one night to celebrate Royals 50th. Other than the engine noise and grumpy kids club staff, it was perfect!

Food and Dining

Good food in MDR as always! Didn't visit the windjammer.
Wipe Out Cafe
5 out of 5
Fast and less crowded place to get a simple breakfast. The frozen yogurt machine in there is a hit as well. The best French fries on the ship are there.
Sorrento's
4 out of 5
We had a piece of pizza daily. The four stars is because we usually had to wait for pizza if you didn't want cheese or pepperoni.
Park Cafe

Often crowded, but a nice place to get a salad or sandwich, or breakfast sandwich in the morning.
Boardwalk Donut Shop

For the best selection, get their early! Limited operating times.
Onboard Activities

Granddaughter loved the cupcake decorating class and riding the carousel. We enjoyed the pool when in port as it wasn't crowded.
Entertainment

Loved the shows! The family comedy show had us laughing nonstop!
Children's Programs

My granddaughter went a few times, but the staff in the Adventure club, for ages 9-11, were not friendly, and didn't control the kids well. I was glad she wasn't interested in spending much time there.
Service and Staff

For the most part, I found service and staff to be helpful and friendly. Adventure Club not so much.

I love the Oasis class ships. My 6th time on one.
Cabin / Stateroom

The location was convenient to the kids club by staying on the 14th floor. I would normally avoid that floor because of kids. The balcony ceiling overhang was more so than on lower decks which provided more shade. The downside of our room was that we felt the engine the entire trip! I don't know if the propulsion issue was part of this, but even in port when we weren't moving we could feel the constant shuttering of the engine. We had very calm seas the entire cruise, so I can't blame it on that. Something with the ship. I have experienced that on past cruises, but only when I was down on lower floor.
Ship tip
Beach beds are great, book early, beware of other guests just trying to help themselves to them!
Our favorite day of the entire cruise!! We loved the snack shack options. Loved the beach bed. Looked for shells and played in the water all day! We had perfect weather! Other than other guests invading the beach bed area, it was the perfect day. I had to ask to be moved to another bed because the beach staff wasn't effective at moving the invaders.
It was okay, not much different to see/buy in their shops. We did the Dolphin Encounter excursion which was nice, but those who signed up for the next level....$50more pp actually got to ride them. We got to touch them and get pictures taken....that's the part where you feel robbed! $40 for one picture, and if there were two of us in the same picture it was $80!! And it was more if you wanted to pay in cash. Language barrier at times. Facilities okay. If you're traveling with someone who has a great camera, they can see you from the perimeter of the dolphin area and could take pictures without coming into the area.
Not much to see and do there. Found the people there to be a bit rude this time. My third time there. We did Discover Atlantis excursion...the tour guide spoke too long the hour tour turned into 90 mins, lots of walking, but the aquariums are beautiful.
Very efficient. I used the luggage valet service which is great if you're flying home, because you don't see your luggage again until your final home destination, so I could avoid finding it in the sea of suitcases and didn't lug it anywhere.
We were on the Allure in November. A fantastic cruise. All staff were friendly. MDR was absolutely delicious. Ate there every night. Used main buffet first day for lunch. Too crowded, by the time you find a table food is cold and even getting the food some was already cold. So many free venues to eat on the ship, avoided the main buffet for the rest of the week. Shows were great. We were on deck 11 Boardwalk balcony. Nice view below of the Boardwalk. Zip line right very close and could see the aqua show and ocean from our balcony. Loved everything.
Good to hear, we were on that ship in April and other guests were far from cordial, staff wasn't friendly for the most part. We ate in the Windjammer a few times, we discovered that the food in there was better than the food in the MDR. We LOVED the shows, ship is gorgeous, we didn't like that almost everything closes early.
