Mediocre at best by jcollard12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The itinerary was great.  However, the boat its self is becoming dated and could use updating.  Our room specifically had a broken balcony door handle, and the TV remote did not work properly not allowing us to view our account when necessary (we asked 3 times for a replacement and it was never made).  The food was rather lack luster.  Our waiter did his very best to accommodate us and provide the best options available.  We only made it to one show, the Las Vegas variety show.  It is probably the worst show I have seen on a cruise.  The only redeeming quality was that of the live orchestra.  As far as night life on the boat there was little to none.  The activities are did not peak our interest, and the live bands only cater to an older demographic.  I would choose this itinerary again but not on this ship or maybe even cruise line.

Adventure of the Seas cruise by baxterd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I loved that there was a quiet place for my family to visit and play games.  I also loved the ports that we stopped in and the crew was amazing.  I wasn't impressed with the food selection.  I would recomend this to my friends and family.  Thank you for the unexpected upgaded room also.

Happy

Seems recovered from Refurbus Interruptus by Tolen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I had heard about some major issues since Hurricane Matthew interrupted its Nassau-based dry dock, but the ship seemed great.  I've taken this same ship on a Transatlantic so it seemed like seeing an old friend.  Chops Grille opening has been pushed out to Q1 of 2017 and they axed the new Izumi restaurant altogether, but the new outdoor amenities (water slides, golf course, and the wonderful FlowRider) are all open with no problem.

The food on the ship was the best I've ever had on RCI, and surprisingly, The Windjammer was great!  I'm used to the buffet being sub-par, the dining room ok, and the specialty restaurants being great - ALL were great choices this time out so KUDOS to  RCI! Happy

Heaven on the Seas by mbacchus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

It was such a wonderful trip it is difficult to identify just one facet. The dining was superb, the tours of the islands were wonderful, the exercise facilities were more than adequate, and the staff and services on board were way above expectations. The trip was one of the best vacations that my wife and I have ever had and we would unhesitatingly recommend this cruise line to our friends and family.

AWESOME VACAY by lisaramkay

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

RCC- Adventures of the Seas was awesome.   My room was # 8589 - The room attendant went above and beyond to please us.  The dining room staff was so kind and friendly - The Table #151 - Syed and KC was our waiters and they were exceptionally nice and Anthony the head waiter always got us a window seat whenever we dined for breakfast and lunch at the sapphire Dining Rm.  I met some great people whom I hope to keep in contact with.  Thanks Royal

Unorganized by deniseobr5

I love Royal Caribbean but this ship was unorganized and the Windjammer was not good at all. I called customer service several times and did not get any help.

The islands are beautiful by tristensolomon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We enjoyed the islands, they are all beautiful.

The ship, Royal Caribbean  Adventure of the Sea is not a ship we would recommend to anyone.  The food service staff was fantastic, however, the lack of communication from staff to guests and desire to make money from the guest is an absolute turnoff.  The restroom in the cabins were not working the first evening through the next day of the cruise. We attempted to contact maintenance via the cabin phone with no one answering. We told a male housekeeping staff member who assured us he would notify housekeeping. After an entire day of excursions we came back to the cabin which smelled of raw sewage. We immediately went to the customer service desk and informed them. As we stood there she called maintenance who told her that someone had flushed something in the toilets clogging the systems from the 10th floor to the 1st and that they had been working on it all night.  My complaint was that no one notified the guests via phone message, tv message, paper flyer or the ships speaker system since ten floors were involved. Having to get up in the middle of the night to go to other floors to find an available restroom is ridiculous.

Tons of destinations for a 7-day cruise by grantandbonnie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This cruise goes to five different islands, plus, if you plan right, you can spend time in Puerto Rico. A great way to see several countries at once.

The boat has not finished its renovations though due to the hurricane and it is not as nice as some of the newer boats. That said, we had a great time and would do the cruise again.

Needed more time out of dry dock by gotvcalls

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

The Adventure of the Seas is a beautiful ship and the crew is super friendly.  The menu choices in the main dining room were plentiful, the beer variety at the "irish styled" pub were also noteworthy.

On three of the five days there were hours long problems w/ the plumbing and toilets on the 8th floor forward.  Several of the Karaoke nights were marred by technical and staff issues.  The pizza line on the 5th floor typically stretched down the promenade.

The itinerary was Barbados, St. Lucia and the Caribbean's jewel St. Maarten.  An extra week to fix the numerous mechanical and staffing problems would have done a lot of good.

Relaxed Vacationer by KMHJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

My husband and I loved the Southern Caribbean Itinerary.  After our trip the ship was being "Dry Dock" for a complete renovation.  We are looking forward to going back to see how it will look.  All the crew were friendly and we actually saw some familiar faces again from last year.  I would definitely recommend the cruise line, ship and itinerary.

Family cruise by Cruiser80922266

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The overall cruise was great both on and off the ship. The ship's crew always does an excellent job in aii areas such as: cabins, dinning, entertainment, guest services? The islands visited were good. There isn't anything else I can think of at this time

Disappointed by jdalerod

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

We didn't enjoy this royal Carribbean ship as much as some of the other we went on.  The bed was very uncomfortable but the room steward put more padding on it to make it better.  We didn't like the entertainment and the food, especially anything that was beef which was very tough, was not as good as on other ships.

Beautiful Islands in the Southern Caribbean by Cruiser19461826

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise vacation to the Southern Caribbean.  The weather was sometimes windy, but very warm.  The scenery was awesome!  If you love the beach and water sports, you will love this cruise.

Wish we had waited by louiseplagman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

Ship is going into dry dock for renovations a week after our cruise, and it showed. Water dripping from the ceilings (condensation?) Furniture worn and stained. They seemed to have been short staffed too, and only one specialty (besides Johnny Rocket's which shouldn't be specialty) and one main dining room for dinner. Windjammer was always crowded, no healthy food options. It was deceiving when you looked up the ship, what was on Adventure of the Seas and what was on the other ships. I wish we had taken the cruise AFTER the renovations.

Good Cruise - Poor execution by phildh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The destinations are very good and the ship is in decent shape. The Suites are spacious but the attendant service was marginal at best.

Better planning in Excursions by RC would avoid the multiple (3) cancelations we experienced.

Service in the formal dining room is excellent, menu and food were good.

Activities and entertainment was limited with mixed/fair performances and poorly managed by RC.

Cruise experience by wwray02

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

Overall I had a great Cruise. Issues that I had when looking through your site are that I was supposed to be on a waiting list for Anytime dining and after talking to Royal Caribbean they stated you never place this on that list. Also we were supposed to have adjoining balconies with our friends next to our room however our balconies did not connect.

Experience on the RC Adventures of the Seas by dmader

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

This is our first cruise on Royal Caribbean (RC). We had a cruise a year ago on Carnival and this trip we had on RC does NOT compare. The service was great and we had a blast. Based on this experience we're planning trip on a RC cruise in Europe.

Highly recommend this cruise to anyone!

Nightclub by mcglory7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The music should of been half and half. Not 95%Latin and 5% other.. Curfew should of been re forced more. The young kid was all over the floor not showing in respect for the other people dancing. The DJ Smiley pretend he knew no English when asked to play other music.

Adventure to tell about! by KristyStevens

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

It was wonderful !  Loved it and can't wait until next year.Happy  The ship was very clean. The staff and service was wonderful.  Lots to do on the ship. Food was fantastic.  Even though there was a hurricane in our path, the captain kept us safe and up to date on what was happening.  We got to have an extra port stop due to the route change and we thought that was very nice.
