Review summary
The Adventure of the Seas is a beautiful ship and the crew is super friendly. The menu choices in the main dining room were plentiful, the beer variety at the "irish styled" pub were also noteworthy.
On three of the five days there were hours long problems w/ the plumbing and toilets on the 8th floor forward. Several of the Karaoke nights were marred by technical and staff issues. The pizza line on the 5th floor typically stretched down the promenade.
The itinerary was Barbados, St. Lucia and the Caribbean's jewel St. Maarten. An extra week to fix the numerous mechanical and staffing problems would have done a lot of good.

Plumbing problems seem to be a big issue on most ships.
I think it is one of those ongoing battles that affects all ships. We have had variable experiences throughout of cruise history.
People need to start from the understanding that the ship's sanitation system is not like what they have at home. Considering the manner in which some people behave and treat public areas of the ship, I have no doubt that a certain percentage of them do not follow the guidance put forth by the cruise ship as to what they can and cannot "flush". It only takes a few people to disregard the clearly define no-no list to really screw up the entire vacuum-based system.
