Review summary

Amazing time. Make the most of each port but don’t forget to enjoy the ship too. It has a lot to offer.

Embarkation

We went on 2 excursions, each on a different island. The ones through the cruiseline and recommended by the cruiseline were very nice albeit expensive. Plenty of options other than the cruiseline excursions too, mainly on the beaches. The islands were all beautiful and the locals were mostly friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dining rooms themselves were clean and the food was mostly good. The food in the Windjammer was good but the same every day. Breakfast was also the same every day so I wish there would be more variety. The dinner food was good but sometimes lackluster in taste. Presentation was beautiful.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were always busy and overcrowded. The other activities also had a very long wait but the activities were fun themselves. The rock-climbing wall was small but still plenty challenging before reaching the top.

Entertainment

The only show that impressed me was the ice skating show. The live music was always great and I loved the steel drums.

Service and Staff

Our personal waiters and the person who cleaned our rooms were very nice and accomodating. Our waiters were wonderful and very personable. Some of the personnel were not very polite or took very long to help us without much care. But that happens anywhere.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was slightly annoying having to go up a level and walk across since our rooms were at the front of the ship and the dining room was at the back. But it was very minor. Otherwise everything was very clean and the interior of the ship was beautiful.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bed was comfortable and plenty for us. The window view was very nice to have. The shower is very small and I dont think you could change the temperature of the water but it was warm so it wasn’t a big deal. Everything in the room was good and I liked our room.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

I did the dolphin push pull swim excursion through Royal and it was amazing. I was happy to see they treated the dolphins well there and it was a bucket list experience. The island itself had friendly locals and beautiful vendor shops.

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
Absolutely beautiful, probably the most beautiful island we visited. The beaches are highly recommended. They also have many vendor shops with handmade items.

Fort-De-France, Martinique

More of a European feel to this island although not much to do at port. You would have to travel at least 15 minutes to do anything. We visited the vendor shops throughout port and returned to the ship early. We

Castries, St. Lucia

We went on a tour of the island through Jungle Tours and other than the 1 1/2 hour trip back down, the views and activities were amazing. Highly recommended although avoid if you are prone to motion or car sickness; a majority of the tour is in a cramped bus on winding roads. The island is beautiful.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Beautiful beaches and swimming with sea turtles at Payne’s Bay was amazing. Some of the locals were not very polite. We had a disagreement with our taxi driver over rates due to a miscommunication between him and the man who received us at the beach. Otherwise beautiful beaches but not much else to do. Sa

Sad to leave but customs was easy.
