It was ok. This was my first time sailing with Royal Caribbean and though I've not decided if I'll try another ship with this line, I feel it was a bit pricey compared to other cruise lines, in particular the excursions. I did like the "my time" dining in spite of the slow service. I think this ship could use some upgrades but over all, it was ok

Food and Dining

The food was good. There were days when the meat was a bit tough but I enjoyed the variety. The Caribbean theme meal was the absolute best. I never expected to have ox tails on cruise but they were phenomenal!!! There was a day where they offered lamb and it was superbly prepared. My only disappointment was with the drinks. The orange juice was great the first day but watered down each day following. The same with the lemonade.

Service and Staff

The bartender named Wesley, from the café, was the absolute best. His customer service skills were exceptional and if he spoke to you at least once, he never forgot your face or your name! Awesome gentleman. My room attendant was also a joy to interact with. My disappointment came with the service in the "my time" dining room. The service was beyond slow and when the food was served, though many of us ordered the same meal, our plates had varying degrees of presentation. Some were even missing the main item from the appetizer.
Ship Quality

The corridor to my cabin smelled like musty socks when we entered the ship. To add insult to injury, something flooded in our area causing us to have wet carpet at the cabin entrance and in the closet. They did manage to suction the water out but the next day they had to come back and steam clean the carpet and put rug deodorizer in it because the room wreaked of a stale musty odor. I was also curious as to why the corridors on some decks were larger than others. I had family on deck 10 with standard staterooms yet, the corridors were huge, whereas we were on deck 6 and the corridors were quite narrow. I was also quite disappointed with the design of the pool with regard to the movie screen. The kiddy slide and other contraptions around the pool obstructed the view of the movie screen. I feel the set up could have been better.

With the exception of the floor flooding, it was ok.
Ship tip
Don't leave the door open to your balcony because it causes your A/C to shut off!!!!
