Review summary

This was our first cruise and it was an amazing experience!  From the moment we boarded the Adventure of the Seas in San Juan PR, to all the small islands we visited, to the time we returned back to San Juan 7 days later, it was top notch service!  We have talked with several people on the cruise and all of them said that Royal Caribbean was high class.  This cruise was catered to the older age group and everyone on board was mature.  All staff from the dinning room to the ones that took care of our room all deserve 5 Stars!  Room was spacious and clean.  Shows where amazing and very entertaining.  The only issue was when we were docked at an island, none of the shops on the ship where open.  Maybe this was to encourage everyone to shop at the port instead of on the ship?  Other than that, we will definetly be taking another cruise next year.

I can't even begin to choose which dinning experience was the best. All was great. Especially our waiters in the dinning room.

Service and Staff

These guys all deserve 5 Stars! A big shout out to Grace who was our maid for our room. She deserves the highest rating. An very very polite. We love her!!

Ship Quality

Older ship but very beautiful. Did have to wait for long periods of time to get onto an elevator and was always full. But with the amount of people on that ship, I can understand.

Cabin / Stateroom

Spacious and very clean! Loved the balcony. We loved our maid, Grace, and she took care of us with fresh towels and information on the next days events.

Ship tip

Plan your shore excursions early because they fill up fast or each port will have taxis that can take you anywhere on the island. Bring clothing to dress up for evening activities. Professional pictures are taken every night and can be purchased the next day.

Island is full of history. We went to the Arecibo Observatory for 1 day and then Old San Juan and forts on the day we boarded the ship. Wish we had more time for Old San Juan.

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

Went to Christiansted Resort and laid out on the beach. Incredible blue water. Also did some shopping in Christiansted and learned the history of the island. Very interesting.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Was disappointed in the yacht excursion that took us to the Princess Juliana Airport where the plans where "suppose" to fly over the boat. The yacht ride was fun and the crew was great, but it would have been cheaper to take a taxi to the beach and eat at the Sunset Bar and Grill. We would have been a lot closer to the plans.

St. John's, Antigua

Take the island tour that takes you to the volcano. Really enjoyed the tour guide and seeing the winding hills and mountains.

Bridgetown, Barbados

We enjoyed the island tour. Recommend going to the St John's Parish Church. One of the oldest churches in the Caribbean.
