Review summary

First let me say, The Adventure of the Seas is a wonderful ship for her age. Crew, Staff and Facilities were outstanding. Couldn't have asked for a better cruise while on board. Now if you are expecting to go ashore on St Johns Antigua, Castries St Lucia or Bridgetown Barbados and find those perfect postcard beaches, forget it. The local population on those islands have exceeded the sustainability of the islands resources. We did three excursions, one on each island. Trash is everywhere, in some cases, raw sewage flowed down the streets. Every stream or water source we saw was polluted. On one 4 X 4 Jeep excursion up into the mountains we saw trash just thrown off the side of the dirt roads, miles from any town. We had a hard time taking pictures while at the beach that excluded the trash. It's sad to think these people are destroying the very thing that draws the tourism to them. It won't be long before these places look worst than Hati.

Beach Hopping on an open air Jitney. First beach trashy, second beach nice, third beach all coral and not very nice. Tour said you had to walk 1 1/2 miles over rough terrain, not true. Driver parked within 30 feet of all three beaches. Had a good time, open bar was included in the price and the Rum Punch flowed freely.

Ive been on larger RC ships and there is a major difference but it still is a great ship- especially if you can't compare it to him one of the bigger ones. My last cruise there was not any food that anyone could complain about! Unfortunately this cruise many people complained;( don't get me wrong I would go again again and again!

I was on that cruise during Erika ;( and Danny- not RC fault but didn't go to any of our planned ports- totally the other direction - still good but not the plan :( The ship is great, employees are great, food- well, could use a little help Nd I'm really not fussy at all about food but one night I couldn't eat the stake at all. I felt so bad giving bad the full plate but a lot of people did

We will be on her early October! We travel the Caribbean a lot! Never been that far south! I just hope we aren't disappointed!
