Didn't Want To Come Home by Carl2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Mercury / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

Ship and staff as expected very friendly. Did seem like some folks at the guest relations desk were a little new and confused. But all in all everyone nice. Ports were great and scenery on cruise days outstanding! A little disappointed in the the evening showroom entertainment. Wouldn't recommended for children. Opening night and comic great, but last Broadway performance very adult orientated. Coming from Vegas, I guess I kinda wanted to leave the "sleaze" at home.

Queen For A Week by Christal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Mercury / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

The ship was very well maintained and clean. Looked like it was a lot newer than actually is. All major dining rooms / theatre etc. were not only comfortable but beautiful. A mild bummer is that the theatre where a lot of the daytime events are scheduled did not have windows so you couldn't enjoy the scenery as you were participating. Outside of pushy photographers and spa personnel (trying to sell you every beauty product under the sun), the staff was extremely professional and accomodating. The ports (especially Naninamo) were so lovely to visit. Residents from the town actually greeted visitors as they came off the tender and thanked them when they were leaving. Have never had such a warm reception. Really made you want to go back for a visit and definately made you want to take another cruise with Celebrity.

Looking at other cruise lines by KimW14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Mercury / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

The food was not that great, couldn't even eat one dinner. Most of the help was pleasant, but the people at the Customer Service were rude and not helpful at all. Not the cleanest ship we have ever been on either.

It was a very nice ship. by LisaC33

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Mercury / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

I thought it was a very good looking ship. I wish the reception area had more light. It was kind of drab looking compared to another ship that I cruised on.

Inside passage cruise by DawnA3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Mercury / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

The ship seems a little tired - many carpets looked a little worn. Most hallways had an unpleasant smell. On the good side our room was very clean and the staff was excellent both room steward and waitstaff.

I thought the infinity was a beautiful ship. Large enough so everyone had their space to be alone

Great Cruise by DaleM5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Infinity / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

We loved the cruise- maybe would be nice to add one more port as we only went to Victoria. Victoria was wonderful !!! The weather was quite cool, but that suits me just fine.

Short and disappointing by SusanO6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Infinity / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

This was a very short cruise, three nights from San Francisco to Vancouver. We booked a suite with full amenities to celebrate a birthday. The room was fine in terms of size, but carpets and bed coverings were extremely dirty. (Linens under bedspread were fine.) The Infinity is a very attractive ship, but the food is among the poorest we have seen, both room service and main dining. The premium restaurant, SS United States, is spectacular in every way, but requires a $30 additional fee per diner, plus a $27 additional fee if you select the prix fixe menu. Given the food in other areas, well worth it and a remarkable dining experience. Oddly, the crew was very mixed. We supposedly had a "butler" but he was essentially a cabin steward and not terribly cooperative. Many of staff on board are non American, the very large majority of them. While polite, a number were hard to understand and didn't appear particularly helpful. For example, I ordered flowers and wine to be on board when we arrived. They were not and I was transferred to a number of people to work it out, none of whom could or would help. We tried to arrange taxi service in two different areas and were basically told we could try to flag one down at the wharf. We had a billing error and were told to take it up with the card company once the statement arrived. The wines available are so limited as to be almost funny, essentially two Chardonnays. One of them, La Crema, was offered at a very large markup and only two times could our waiter find any. The other wine was a private label Celebrity and not even close to worth the price. The half bottle in our room had spoiled and when we requested another, that bottle was so spoiled that the wine was virtually dark brown, shocking us and the steward. The room didn't have a corkscrew and the server neglected to bring one twice, despite our reminder. Really amateur hour, quite frankly. Things of this nature were a real surprise to us and disappointing. Again, the ship is only five years old, so attractive and well laid out. All things considered, I doubt we sail with Celebrity again.

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing cruise by BruceP5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

Overall, this was a very relaxing and enjoyable cruise from San Diego to Vancouver. The entertainment was great, in particular, Santtino & the Blakjaxs. The staff was very accomodating and we were very satisfied with the level of service. The debarkation for passengers flying from Vancouver was handled extremely well with Ship represenatives shepherding passengers from pierside, to buses and all the way to bag pickup at Vancouver airport and then directing passengers to the appropriate airline counter. A few very minor discrepancies: the bus driver taking us to the airport was unfamilar with the route and had to get phone directions, initially, there were no standup hand sanitizers acivated at the food venues (once we asked about why they weren't being used, they magically appeared the next time we entered the dining area), the tour to Seaside/Astoria started late and we felt hurried with not enough time to explore the stops before returning to the pier and after we signed up for tours online and receiving our confirmation, upon arrival, we found that only one of us had tour tickets and the Tour Desk had to confirm my confirmation with the Miami office. After cruising on several other lines, Royal Caribbean is at the top of our list for customer satisfaction.

First time cruise was great. by BarbaraG6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

This was my first cruise and thoroughly enjoyed the week cruising. The room was very nice and the stateroom attendant was on top of keeping it made up and fresh towels plus bringing a bag of ice each evening for my injured knee....too much exercising! The ship was very clean and the staff was friendly and very attentive. Having such a relaxing and enjoyable time I have no qualms about cruising again....most definitely will take another cruise. I liked the idea that one could do whatever which made it very relaxing to just sit and read in the lounge areas having SEATTLES BEST COFFEE.

Perfect Long Weekend Getaway! by RichardM26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

A well cared for and newer vessel, Coral Princess is not too big to get overwhelmed, yet big enough that one can find little nooks for privacy and ocean viewing. Excellent condition and maintenance.

Great First Cruise by RandolphL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zuiderdam / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

This was our first Cruise and as we boarded the ship in S.F. we both felt like we were walking into a whole different world. The experience was one we will never forget the staff made us feel right at home and as we walked into our room my wife and I just said Wow ...this is really nice. Our only regret was that the Cruise was way to short (3 days) about the time we started to settle in it was time to leave the Zuiderdam ...that was not easy to do.

Never again! by RickS10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Sun / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

Having never been on a cruise before we decided to take a repositioning cruise to try it out. I found the food lackluster but attractively displayed. Breakfast was undercooked with runny scrambled eggs (and I like mine loose), bacon verging on raw (and I like mine soft). The toast was ok, but was not warm enough to melt butter by time I got it. I didn't find one menu item on the list that made me want to go for seconds. The room was clean but other than the basics service was slow.

Best Valued 3-day Adventure!! by RayK7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Wind / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

The itinerary was fabulous (although we did have to curtail the stop in Victoria due to high winds and denial by the Victoria Harbor Master permitting our visit). San Francisco has to be the best port to enter or depart (being from the SF Bay Area), seconded only by Vancouver!

A disappointing cruise! by JasonE

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Wind / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

The service was above and beyond exceptional. We were disappointed that the food wasn't all that great at the buffets, nor were there 24 hour food places. However, the food in the actual restaurants were great. Due to the weather we were unalbe to go to any of the ports except for our final day which was to get off.

A most disappointing experieince by SueW6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Wind / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

The ship was small and crowded. While most staff were just okay, a few were just down-right awful. There were 2 superstars, however. The food was extremely disappointing.
