Sydney-Honolulu adventure! by 777cds

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Transpacific

Popular shore excursions get booked out fast. To be flexible in organising more boats / busses if possible to accommodate high demand. also have a waitlist in case there are cancellations. Overall the cruise was as imagined, as expected and delighted us immensely. We look forward to more days at sea with Royal Carribbean.

TERRIFIC CROSSING by FirehawkBob

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: Transpacific

Very enjoyable and relaxing cruise which is common on most crossings as you get lots of sea days to do some serious relaxing. Ship is a bit outdated with some much needed improvements pending soon. I hope. Food is up to expected quality and entertainment has improved over the years and is much better than it was a few years ago.

Relaxing vacation, nice ship, good service, unimpressive ports of call. by Cruiser86375522

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Transpacific

All in all it was a fun and relaxing trip. We went to Australia a few days early which was good. I was less than impressed with the ports of call. I don't like so many days at sea but the ship was very nice and I spent alot of time at the pool and other activities. I thought the price of sodas and beer was a little high and I did not like being charged for cycling class or the $10 min bet at the casino. Hopefully our Ireland to Iceland cruise next year will be better.

Amazing cruise by annieimac

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Transpacific

Celebrity outdid itself. Service and staff were excellent. Shows were great. Onboard shopping could have been better. Same old items, nothing new added throughout the cruise. My sister and I love bingo but it was only held twice and $us40 a game. Way too expensive. Overall, great cruise.

Fantastic Cruise by kaviaq

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Transpacific

This was a fantastic cruise on a wonderful ship! We could not have been happier with our cabin and this terrific itinerary! Food in all venues was great. We ate in every specialty restaurant at least twice and our favorites were Tuscan Grille, Silk Harvest, Luminae, and Sushi on 5. Murano fell a bit short in our opinion. We especially enjoyed Michael's Club where Calli was among the most helpful folks on the ship and Maria among the best bartenders! I really enjoyed having a detox smoothie at least once each day from the crew in the Aqua Spa Cafe where Kimberling was a ray of sunshine each and every visit. Arif and his team in Luminae bent over backwards to ensure we were thrilled with each visit we made. Notable folks on his team include Bayu, Mustafa, Kavi, and Viktor, the sommelier. We loved all our ports of call, especially Moorea and Bora Bora. Tendering operations were quick and efficient. Two things I'd stay away from next time that cost us too much, in my opinion, are the Persian Garden Pass, simply not worth it, and the casino...you just could not win for some reason!

Not a bad cruise by KathyEfto

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Explorer of the Seas / Destination: Transpacific

Overall we were disappointed with RC EOS, heard fantastic reviews but lacked entertainment and quality and interesting activities onboard. Way too much trivia. Kids (aged 10 & 8) were bored by day 3 and didn't enjoy kids club. Food was mediocre nothing was wow, apart from Chops and Izumi the specialty restaurants. Drinks pack always bought inbound way over priced, just like the rest of the cruise. The promenade was soooo disappointing, only a few shops and the cafe, food was so so. For us, the RC EOS not for us, enjoyed our times on the Carnival spirit.

Explorer of the Seas - South Pacific by jandex

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Explorer of the Seas / Destination: Transpacific

We had a great time on the Explorer of the Seas. The weather was not good for a lot of the trip and as a result two Fiji ports were cancelled. We managed to get an extra port stop at Port Vila instead so was a good option. There was plenty to do onboard even when the weather wasn’t nice outside. Staff were fabulous! I would go again in a heartbeat. Don’t take too seriously the small amount of people who provide negative reviews - this cruise is great and if you go with a positive attitude you will have a great time!

Farewell Oceania-Won't sail with you again by SeaNSun628

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Regatta / Destination: Transpacific

I will not sail with Oceania, again. They market perks which they don't deliver and came away from this trip feeling as if Oceania does not welcome single travelers. I wrote to Oceania and their response was not friendly or customer focus. Oceania appeared to be living on old glory based on an outdated brand.

Good......Not Great. by caboclarks

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Explorer of the Seas / Destination: Transpacific

We are glad to have have booked this cruise but found no need to return to any of the ports. The cruise ship was more of a booze cruise. They ran out of many alcoholic drinks a couple of days before the cruise was over.

Disappointed by Julie0911

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Explorer of the Seas / Destination: Transpacific

Having cruised before with other cruiselines, this was my first with RC and was left very disappointed. All activities and bars on the top deck closed at 9pm. There was no atmosphere on this cruise. Communication in the cruise compass was confusing in terms of attire and special nights. Very dissatisfied

Our first Transpacific cruise by asbroad

This was a cruise to celebrate a couple of things in our lives: a key anniversary and a 'big' birthday. We enjoyed every single day that we were away from home.

Great Transpacific Crossing by DeanKling

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Volendam / Destination: Transpacific

This was a Transpacific crossing as a repositioning cruise which involved more sea time than usual for most cruises. The MS Volendam is smaller than most modern cruise ships, which lends a more communal feel. That being said, it was a great cruise with greater than normal interactions with the ships crew, as well as the hotel staff.

42 day cruise...Vancouver to New Zealand..Holland America is the best! by NevilleP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: Transpacific

Amazing cruise. Would do it again in a heartbeat. The highlight was New Zealand, especially Milford Sound, NZ has the most beautiful landscapes I have every seen. Some of the ports had extra fees for buses to get to the town, that shouldn’t be an extra charge. Some were included, some weren’t. I love the cleanliness when the staff handled our food, I appreciated no cross contamination.

Cruise to Australia & New Zealand by OldBlue76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: Transpacific

Beware of large group shore excursions. We were disappointed with these as the vendors were not equipped to handle the large groups and too much time spent getting onto and off the bus! Lesson learned - only small group tours for us in the future! Also, Fiji and New Caledonia were not the island paradise venues we were expecting. Very poor countries and it showed, especially in Suva. Wouldn't get off the ship next time.

Not the Best by rmh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sun Princess / Destination: Transpacific

Good weather, disappointed that yet again the ship had health issues which took some of the edge of it. We were on this ship earlier in the year. There have been a lot of crew changes, sadly not all for the better
