Review summary

We are glad to have have booked this cruise but found no need to return to any of the ports. The cruise ship was more of a booze cruise. They ran out of many alcoholic drinks a couple of days before the cruise was over.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Organized and pretty fast for the amount of people in line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The service was great but the food was average and not up to RCCL standards that we have exsperienced in the past.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The amenities were good, but the planned activities by the cruise director was lacking. Not much going on 0900 to 1500 everyday.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The ship overall lacked festive music. They had boring Yanni type guartarist playing most of he time. The production shows were good but just fell short compared to RCCL shows in the past.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service staff was great.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
For a ship that had been refurbished, it had a lot of noticeable rust and paint bubbling.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The room was what we expected but lacked a stronge A/C.

Ship tip

I would not travel 15 hours again to go on this cruise. The excursions did show off Fiji's amazing waters. The best port was New Caledonia.

Ports of call

Sydney, Australia

4 out of 5
Reminded us of San Fransisco. We took the red bus tour.

Lautoka, Fiji Islands

2 out of 5
We booked the island snorkel/beach experience. It was ok, not great. The tour ran over by an hour causing our dinner plans on the ship to become an issue.

Suva, Fiji

3 out of 5
Saw the fire walker. Great show but the art/cultural building lacked authentic Fiji souvenirs.

Lifou Isle, New Caledonia

2 out of 5
Went to the beach off the pier. Water had a nasty murky film on it. Tendering was ok and RCCL handled it the best they could.

Noumea, New Caledonia

4 out of 5
Went snorkeling at the reef/lagoon. This was the best stop and the snorkeling was good.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Walked off luggage and it went great and fast.
