Great Cruise by davidcrozier28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Mexico

Great Cruise. Weather was overcast for some days, but that is to be expected in October. Entertainment staff were great. We have been to Mexico before so the onshore trips were not that important to us. Overall very happy, already booked another cruise on Princess for the fall in southern Europe.

I loved to do this cruise, I enjoyed so much, it worth to spend time on board and ports. Everything was very good, food, entertainment, crew's attentions were excellent, they are very profesionals. Absolutely, I was fascinated that I planned to do more trips. Than you.

Great cruise! Crew was exceptional by maddie72020

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

Great cruise! Food was delicious. Crew was friendly helpful. Cabin including the whole ship was clean. It could do with a little makeover otherwise it was an excellent deal for your money. Thank you to all the dining crew cooks snd all. They took special care and were very cautious in dealing with my sons food allergies. Will definitely go back. It was better than other big ship cruises we have been to because it was affordable but was clean with great food.

Lots of fun with a few snags by gppuddinpie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We had so much fun in this cruise and really loved it. We did not love Ensenada. I’ve been on over 10 cruises and never could understand why cruises stop there. If you do stop there, go to la bufadora and then get back on the ship. It’s truly not worth the stop. The food was the biggest bummer on this ship. Buffets were not good, except for the lido grill. Ice cream machines were very frequently out of ice cream and 3/4 hot chocolate machines broke down (the last day they finally added packets for you to mix in yourself, though). The waiters in the main dining room seemed maxed out - no matter what time we went. They had no assistant waiters. Main dining was a good 2 - 2.5 hour experience and was hard to get a drink or refill. They seemed unhappy and often got our orders wrong and then took another 1/2 hour to get it right. Sometimes half our table would have their meals and it would take 25 minutes for the rest of the table to get theirs. Our kids hated going there, so often we would take them to the lido grill to eat, then they could go to the kids club or hang out in the room while we ate. That food also wasn’t amazing (except for the filet Mignon) and was often lukewarm. Entertainment was pretty good! We enjoyed the nightly shows and the comedians. I appreciated the ratings for the comedians so I knew which ones were ok for kids. The pool was freezing ocean water and was mostly empty the whole time. Hot tubs were so nice and we loved them.

Didn’t mind it. Just would be more fun if I drank alcohol and had more friends on the cruise with us

The ship was beautiful and the staff made it that much better. Make sure to visit Allen Mayrl Mondalo at the Frog Bar, he was the best bartender I have ever seen.

The worst and we've been on over 30 by jwellman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

Here's a copy of the letter we wrote to John Heald Hi John, My husband and I just returned on 1/12/2020 from a 6 day cruise on the miracle. It was our 20th Carnival cruise. We previously traveled twice with you as our cruise director in Europe and had the best memories. This cruise, however, was the worst. Fortunately for us, Mother Nature was extremely kind and gave us perfect weather. My husband has Parkinson’s and is also going through chemo for cancer. We thought this might be a nice get-away since it was so close. He uses a wheelchair most of the time and I have limited mobility. The most helpful “staff” we encountered was the people helping with the tenders in Cabo San Lucas, which I can only assume were actually the locals. The staff on board didn’t seem to know what they were even doing. It felt like it was a training boat. When on the Lido deck I had to balance a plate on my husband’s lap for us to share. The waiters in the main dining room were doing the best they could. There was no time to converse because they were running around the whole time. They instantly knew our names and had a genuine smile and politeness the entire cruise but it was like dining with robots. The room steward couldn’t be found. We were contemplating removing the tip for the service, but chose not to. As I noted earlier, my husband uses a wheelchair and with the cancer sleeps a lot. The room wasn’t made up at least half of the time. We had our meals at the same time each day. The room wasn’t clean. I did more cleaning then the staff did. I took him up to the top deck the afternoon of the cocktail reception and when we returned to go to dinner, the invitation was on our bed and we had missed it. We never received the chocolate strawberries and the ‘gift’ of hangtags was a joke. As you know, everyone compares what they paid and we paid at least as much or more than other passengers and got the worst, filthiest balcony that we have ever had. I don’t know if this is typical to what is happening on all the Carnival cruises, but I definitely would not recommend it to friends. This is the first time we have had to complain. I contemplated writing this to you, but I can’t imagine that this is the treatment your guest should receive. I definitely don’t believe that any handicapped people should feel the way we were treated is acceptable and being our 20th cruise with you, I certainly did not expect this trip to be this way. Judy

Relax on the FUN side of Trump's wall - Cabo San Lucas by LGTR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

This was our fourth cruise and second with Carnival. We love the idea of relaxing on the ship, going to bed and waking at a new location. To be able to explore and return to your stateroom for a fantastic meal, live shows, going to bed to wake-up in a new destination. The overall savings are fantastic! This is definitely not our last cruise.

A different expirence by mlr92847

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Joy / Destination: Mexico

First time on a Norwegian cruse and was a bit disappointing...I'm disabled and was not warned when I booked that there was going to be a lot of walking to get to elevators. I was using a walker and could not use the stairs. Felt there were not enough daytime activities as other cruse lines and the evening entertainment was good but not enough. Also I have to add, it was worst drink service in public areas I've ever experienced on a cruise!

A fantastic voyage overall. Just a few minor complaints, but nothing that would affect the quality of my cruise.

Disappointing dining/menu options by lynnaecom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

Fun get away for Mom, sister and me. Small older ship than what we are used to. Our only real disappointment was the limited dining/menu selections. The wait for a table in the main dining room and the lines at the buffet. Way finding on the ship was a bit frustrating at times. We would have also appreciated some music venues that didn't hurt our ears and allowed for conversation.
