Honeymoon Cruise by tuckerabbott

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

My wife and I took this cruise for our honeymoon, and we had an overall good experience. I had been to Europe previously but my wife had never been. The specialty food on board the ship was great, but the complimentary food left something to be desired. I wish we had more time to explore at each port (expect 30 minutes taken for both arrival and departure out of the overall time listed for each port). The excursions are great for inexperienced travelers, but if you're more experienced I would highly recommend exploring the destinations on your own.

Good until the end by annieeedou96

Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

the cruise Was great until customer service/management decided to berate and embarrass us. we just wanted from guidance and help from where to go from there and we were instead humiliated with loud voices and aggressive gestures.

Interesting and fun trip on the Baltic by zipcat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

I did enjoy the cruise. There are a few problems with each of the ports and the Windjammer. I still think this cruise is a good option for seeing Northern Europe.

Awesome Mediterranean Cruise by gbenjamin2012

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Love cruising on Princess - This cruise is a must do for anyone that loves cruising. Typically we prefer cruises with more sea days however this allowed us to see much of the Med countries to get a flavor for what we would like to come back and see in more detail.

Breathtaking Norway Fjords by actumike

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Fantastic itinerary. Ship is getting a bit worn around the edges. Food is very good but not excellent (except in specialty restaurants which have very limited menus). Service and room attendants are still excellent. Entertainment was a bit spotty. Ship talent was high. Plan to get away from the towns and ship and have a more active vacation.

Terrible Food, Poor Service by grlgrdgate

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pacific Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Due to mechanical problems, we did not leave Dover until the next day and had to miss our first port, St. Helier. Huge disappointment. We loved Waterford, Dublin, and Edinburgh. The food on the cruise was the absolute worst food we have experienced. Old, inedible, disgusting in the main dining room, buffet, everywhere. We ate off ship in every port. Other than our wonderful room steward, service was poor. We will never cruise Princess again.

Fantastic trip!!!!! by drcopr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

All the ports are very interesting. I really liked and learned a lot of new history facts. The only disappointment was Stockholm, too short the stay at port for the lot of nice museums they have. And tours offered were expensive and does not includes the best spots of the city.

Regent Cruises are always great by wasoble

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Regent is a great line and the Voyager is a great ship. Worth the money! This itinerary was a bit ambitious with no days at sea. I guess we didn't have to visit every port...; but we wanted to.

Baltic Sea Dream Cruise by moncho0518

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The ship is always very clean as is the case with the stateroom. Staff always extremely friendly and helpful. The ship orchestra is excellent as are the ship's dancer, singers and performers. The Russian dancers show was excellent. The magician and juggler shows were just boring.

The ship is excellent, and the itinerary is very good by gaa0805

Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

The trip was good, My issue is that the ports are advertised as the itinerary. The ship should have included all transportation to the actual centers of the cities.

Ship: Star Pride / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

We really enjoyed the cruise as the food was great , the room was spacious the crew was great and the port were fun to visit. Would highly recommend both a trip to Iceland and travel on a Windstar Cruise. We have cruised with Cunard, Princess, Holland America. Royal Caribbean and Ama-Waterways and plan to cruise with Windstar again.

What happened to Holland America? by michigan6268

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Koningsdam / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The cruise is what my husband, daughter and I made it. Cruise director did not do anything that helped us in planning events or entertainment. Without our own input it would have been a pretty boring cruise.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Seabourn Odyssey / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We could not have asked for more as far as the service and enjoyment on the ship. The staff, food, drink, entertainment and atmosphere made us wanting more. We will be returning to Seabourn for sure in the future.

Fantastic first cruise by TerrellN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Getaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

I would do this cruise again. Next time we would try to be as independent as possible, rather than using tour operators. All the ports, except Russia, (and I don't know about Copenhagen) are very accessible. Our memories are great. Get one board credit, as much as you can. If you're a drinker, use a drinks package.

An excellent overall experience by nx7u

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

First cruise for my partner. Her comment: "every day is like two days. First you go out and visit a place, then you come back and party all night". We will sail Oceania again, but it will probably be a few years. Our objective was to see several Italian spots we hadn't been too, and Greece/Monte Carlo were bonuses. But our general style is to go someplace for 10 days and live there.

First Cruise--Some good, some bad. by Mid30sCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We're not likely to use Princess again, at least not until we're senior citizen on a budget. We made great moments, but the company is stuck in the past. Cruise lines need to move away from jewelry showings and rigid dinner schedules, toward free wifi and espresso; away from excess entertainment budgets for smoke and mirror performances, toward good quality performers in the lounges; away from 'trivia with the crew,' and toward swimming options to accommodate 4500 cruisers.

Disappointing Medditerran Cruise by tgladen26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Luminosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I have been in several cruises: Royal Carribean, NCL, Celebrity, Carnival. This was our 1st European cruise. Overall, we were quite disappointed as the visits to most of the port of calls were short, the excursions catered to people who didn't have mobility problems. It would have been nice to have excursions with little physical activities to accomodate all guests. As an African American couple, we felt disrespected quite often. For example, we walked in one of the shops and the clerks continued to follow me around. I am quite blessed to have the resources to pay for this cruise and I was well able to buy anything in any of the shops. Costa could benefit from cultural diversity training. I do not plan on cruising with Costa in the future and would not recommend this cruise line.
