Review summary

The ship is always very clean as is the case with the stateroom. Staff always extremely friendly and helpful. The ship orchestra is excellent as are the ship's dancer, singers and performers. The Russian dancers show was excellent. The magician and juggler shows were just boring.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation experience was very good. Smooth and effortless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food in main dining room was lacking taste somewhat. After 3 visits, decided to just have dinner in the Windjammer. The one day I liked the taste in the main dining was when we had the Beef Tenderloin.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I liked the paintings auction very much. Very interesting event. No interest in pool or rock climbing.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I liked the show when in Russia very much. The magic show and juggler were extremely boring. Other shows were OK.

Children's Programs

No children traveling with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Just excellent service all over. Absolutely nothing to complain there. Always friendly and willing to help with anything. Could really see the dedication from everyone.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All well maintained, always clean and beautiful design.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I liked the size, comfort and always very clean. Only small issue I had is that for some reason, room gets somewhat warm/hot between 3:00 and 4:00 or 5:00 AM, even though had A/C set on coolest.

Ship tip

Make sure to go to restroom on board before leaving for an excursion and do not drink too much while in the city or during an excursion, because finding a restroom in most of these cities is simply impossible. In Tallinn as example there was just one restroom and was out of order. They pretty much force you to go to the restroom behind some building or something like that. I would suggest the cruise lines propose to these governments they donate a restroom and the government would just have to maintain, because it is not reasonable to have all these tourists in your city and simply provide no restroom whatsoever.

Ports of call

Copenhagen, Denmark

I think it is very convenient the possibility of catching the "Hop on-Hop off" red bus with option to even go to the airport. I purchased a ticket with the "Hop on-Hop off" red bus.

Riga, Latvia

City very nice but biggest problem is no public restroom. I believe you need to make sure the passengers are aware of this inconvenience. I took the shuttle to the city and strolled on my own.

Tallinn, Estonia

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation

City very nice but biggest problem is no public restroom. I believe you need to make sure the passengers are aware of this inconvenience. I did an excursion on both days.

Helsinki, Finland

City very nice and I liked the fact that they had free public restrooms. I purchased a ticket with the "Hop on-Hop off" red bus.

Stockholm, Sweden

City very nice and I liked the fact that they had free public restrooms. I purchased a ticket with the "Hop on-Hop off" red bus with the "Sightseeing" company. I did not purchase a ticket with the Red Bus "Hop on-hop off", but was trying to purchase a ticket. It was a complete disaster. This company only sent 4 buses and even passengers that purchased advanced tickets on board could not catch a bus. Luckily the mentioned the option of catching a bus with the other company at 3 min walk. The experience with this company was excellent. I believe Royal Caribbean should advise the passengers of this option because it is excellent.

Klaipeda, Lithuania

City clean and I liked the fact that they had free public restrooms. I walked to the city and strolled on my own.

Gdynia (Gdansk), Poland

City clean and I liked the fact that they had public restrooms even though not free. I believe you need to make sure the passengers are aware of this inconvenience so they make sure they have Euro coins. I took the shuttle to the city and strolled on my own.
