Ship: Riviera / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We went on many shore excursions and enjoyed them all but the one to Florence was special mostly due to our guides  knowledge and personality. My wife and I enjoyed our time together as we were able to spend quality time together and enjoy each others company.I would recommend this cruise line to all my friends as it was the best overall cruise we have been on.

Absolutely fabulous journey by mandymw

Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

First thing first , it is a very good trip at all. The entertainments on the ship are amazing . Especially The Fine Line , with exciting and stunning special effects. Another great show is the 1887 ice skating . The music and the dresses of the performers are beautiful. For the food , we are so satisfied . The five night dining package is worth choosing . Chops Grille is our favorite restaurant , the mushroom soup is signature . Main dining room and Wind jammer serves great food . I love surprise , one day it serves King crabHappy. The services from the housekeeping assistants are gorgeous . Everyday we will get a towel doll, it is so sweet . Finally , the ultimate Abyss and flowrider is a good place to enjoy my time . It is the best trip ever.

Amazing Europe! by vforantes4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ports were amazing, we definitely will visit again. Wish there was an additional sea day to enjoy all the ship's amenities. Harmony of the Seas is a beautiful ship & very big.  The staff seemed a little overwhelmed but we had a great experience. Will definitely cruise with Royal Carribbean again.

Great glimpse into past history by mwiden

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The total experience was more that I imagined it would be. The ship's crew was friendly, helpful, and extremely hard working. The food was delicious with many options to choose from and several places to eat. Our wait staff was attentive. The cafe bistro offered various refreshing coffee drinks which were a pleasant afternoon respite.

There were many options in each port for shore excursions. The wide variety offered everyone a tour of something they found appealing, food, adventure, history, etc.

it was exciting to step back in history and see sites built in b.c. and imagine yourself in those surroundings.

It's always better in a suite. by jdbdpm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The best part of any cruise are the perks associated with booking a suite on any Celebrity ship. The attention to your travel needs pre during and post is worth the increased premium of booking the suite. Anything that does not go right is corrected at celebrity's expense. You get what you pay for.

royal princess by rcrdaps2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The cruise was really impressive.   Royal Princess lives ups to its name, reputation and services.  The services from start to finish was superb. The shore excursions were planned with nice comfortable buses  and knowledgeable tour guides.  It was well organized and made sure that no one was left behind.  Some of the areas could be improved such as the market area in Bandol.  We did not particularly care for that door.  It was like going to a local swap meet by the the beach.  But overall the other excursions were great.

The people were great.. the ice  and diving shows were great. The food could have been better. The room was nice and the benefits that came with  the suite were well worth the money.

Mediterranean Cruise by eshez

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Dinning room service was excellent ,  I've been on over 20 cruises, and this one had the worst spa, lacking all the amenities found in a spa, huge disappointment.  Also with a daily port stop with the exception of 1 day, every morning we got up at 0700 to catch the land tours, we needed a vacation to rest when we got off. Ship is very large making it very uninviting, the smaller are much warmer and welcoming.

Excellent experience for being my first cruise. by marquito8080

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This was my first time in a Cruise, for that everything was wonderful. There were some things that I didn't like for example the mourning breakfast that was so crowded. The cost of the internet service was exaggerated almost 30 dolars per day. The unkind personal trainer in the gym. How people who don't take the cruise tours are treated by the port agents who were rude and not polite dealing with tourists.

celebrity equinox 7 nt med cruise by karenr27

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I found the food to be better than other ships I have been on.  The ship is clean and the staff friendly.  I think the evening entertainment is where this ship is lacking, it was basically just the theater show.  I have enjoyed the comedy shows that other ships provide .

Was jet sail price worth it?s by Cruiser25128951

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

the start of our holiday was great! Parking at the private jet terminal at stansted was great...just turn up and leave your car at the terminal. Easy boarding and a very comfortable flight but as soon as you landed at Barcelona you were definitely economy class! Huge quee to get through passport control.

priority boarding on ship was ok and cabin was ok.

however being in Aqua class was not all it should have been....we should have had bottled water every day ...we didn't . There should have been pillow menus...there wasn't . Their should have been all sorts of things that were listed as benefits of Aqua class but they weren't offered and we didn't check until we were home...so our perhaps we would have asked if we had known but really shouldn't have to!

best bit was the thing was Blu restaurant .

Equinox = Excellency by PAULCPRETTYMANJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We took the Amalfi Coast & Capri excursion thru Celebrity.  Even though it was pricey, it was well worth the coast.  Excellent tour guide, Umberto.  Also, the ship sponsored excursion to Florence was great with another excellent tour guide, who was very informative in regards history of this area.

Excellent Celebrity Cruise by Cruiser35995133

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Dining room service and waiters were superb. Timing of shows in main theatre made it difficult to return from a day ashore and see a show as well as have dinner. The timings on previous cruises were much better.

I would certainly recommend the cruise

Suitability at time of year by Cruiser76248578

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Good choice of ports and trips ashore. At this time of year very family orientated therefor ship very full 4300 on board.Good facilities catering for different age groups up to 18yrs.

Negative high cost of supplementary taxes on all refreshment also the expected level of tips (Much higher than P&O Cruises)

At different time of year itinery would be highly enjoyable for adult age group.

BEST CRUISE SO FAR by BigGulp711

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The cruise was wonderful and the staff were very friendly.  The room steward especially makes an effort to remember your name.  The dining room staff were efficient and the maître d was amazing.  This was the first cruise that I have every gone on the maître d was involved in the entertainment.  He sang every night.

The excursion were well worth the money.  I suggest to anyone that plans to take Mediterranean cruise book an excursion.

Great Vacation! by kschez99

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

My favorite part of the cruise is the itinerary and that was my reason for booking.  However, I loved the cruise ship itself.  there were great amenities, my son loved the waterworks and Ocean Camp.  The food was delicious with great variety every day.  Guy's Burgers were really good and I do not eat burgers regularly, more like almost never.  I loved the on demand movies available, after a full sightseeing day of mostly walking it was nice to just relax in your room.  The Broadway style shows every night were great for entertainment as well.  There were lots of activity options all the time, we had a GREAT time.

Work in Progress by stephentaub

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall the ship was very nice. Itinerary was very good. I enjoyed the cruise a lot. But they still have some kinks to get out. Nothing major. To get an elevator you need to press several buttons rather than just one. It also causes most elevators to stop at virtually every floor often with no one getting on. Waiters and bus people sometimes forget to bring you things you ask for. The person handling the drinks rarely stopped by to ask whether I wanted a drink. One time when I ordered a beer I literally waited 25 minutes to get it. Also they tell you no draft beer in the dining room even though the bar is right outside. Also, buffet has limited offerings because you need to sit down in a restaurant (no charge) on a different floor to get pasta or asian noodles. Makes no sense. In Serenity there is no pool, just hottubs. Finally took two hours to embark. Horrible.

Perfect itinerary! Clean Ship! Watch out for extra charges... by jmartin2007

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The best part about this trip was the shore excursions! Naples and Marseille were our favorites - The best of the Amalfi Coast and A Day in Cassis.  The most unbelievable sights I've ever seen.

The ship is clean and has everything you could want.  The only downside is that they do charge for most of the restaurants.  Believe me, the extra $15 per person is totally worth it.  The Japanese, steakhouse and Italian were amazing and we went back more than once! Service is far above the dining room.

Only complaint about the ship is for the staff - they do not anticipate needs.  Other than that, they are friendly and prompt.

Great cruise!

Not quite Harmony by chardin1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Harmony of the Seas is a great ship with plenty of on board activities.  Food is good but not great except in the Coastal Kitchen where service by Steve is also great.  Open dining in the Windjammer is a nightmare for finding a table at breakfast.  Some ports of call need to be reviewed and possibly altered. Information at times seemed to be different depending upon the source.
