Our best trip ever (and we've had a lot! by BrendaS2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship is wonderful, and so much fun. The kids clubs are incredible; the kids want to stay there all of the time, giving Mom and Dad a real vacation. All of the events were family friendly fun, and the character appearances are pretty exciting, even if you aren't usually into that. Their pool areas are great, although definitely crowded. There was always something to do.

A very European cruise! by RebeccaL3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Splendida / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We had a great trip but it could have been better! We were told it would be very European and it was! Food was wierd, service was not what we were used to, no drinks included with meals including no water, & not many food options. Wouldn't cruise MSC again.

Not a great experience by ShannonL5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Costa Magica / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship was clean but a bit confusing to get around from the front to back of the ship. There needs to be more places to eat on the boat & more options. The food was NOT good at all. I'm used to cruises that have excellent food but the food was horrible. The choices were very limited, seemed like the same type food all the time. Breakfast was the same EVERYDAY! The food at night was not good & very slow & usually luke warm when finally served. I feel I paid way too much for this cruise. Also, vacationing w/Europeans is difficult...not Costa's fault but beware...they are pushing, rude & NOT fun to vacation with.

The ship was excellent. Boarding easy, Barcelona a great starting point. I am not familiar with the 6 star rating. It was not the best, In some cases excellent, But it was really good.

The ship is wonderful. Clean and well cared for and most of the staff is excellent. The ship shows were entertaining for the most part and changed daily.

A Wonderful cruise by WilliamS16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Gem / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I had a wallet stolen in Barcelona the second day of the cruise. One of the men in particular went above and beyond his duties to assist me getting funds for the balance of the cruise, He made many phone calls and put me in contact with my credit companyy to forward money. Best of all, he located a place in one of the ports where I was able to pick up the money. His effort made the rest of the cruise to be enjoyable despite the bad incident The ship was maintained impeccably and the cabin crew were extremely good.

The BEST trip ever!! by AT505

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship was wonderful it was like coming home. We have been on this class ship before so we were very familar with all the shops restaurants and lay out. The food was a little disappointing this time, it seemed as if they were skimmping on the food and had the crew dishing out the desserts. I'm not a big sweets person, but you felt as if you could only take one item. We loved the promenade area. They did not give out night mints during turn down service either. The ship was very clean and germicide was located in all important places. The ports were so amazing. My husband and I saw so much in 7 days. When we reached Naples, we walked to the train and went to Pompeii then went to Sorrento (it was such a beautiful quaint town). Naples we didn't like to much it was dirty and traffic was horrific. We also took the train into Rome it was about a 45 minute ride. You have to decide what to see when you get in. We saw the Vatican, Coliseum the Chapel. The ports was the BEST part of this trip we saw so much, we felt we had to take another vacation. This is the only way to see Europe on a crusie ship,we hope to see Egypt,Turkey and Greece like this too!!

A Very Difficult Cruise by BobS3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Very large, lots to do. Freestyle cruising gives you freedom to eat when and where you like at 10 different restaurants. Also gives you freedom to pay cover charges of anywhere from $10 to $25 per person at six of them for very average food. Staff was generally helpful but inconsistent. Service was equally inconsistent as were the Shore Excursions.

Spain/Italy Cruise by AnnH40690942

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Century / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

There were people on the ship who received FREE upgrades. I was not one of them. However, I had to pay DOUBLE for a single supplement. I noticed the individuals who received the FREE upgrades were Philipino -- any chance there might be some discrimination when most of the employees are Philipino on the ship. Just curious!!!

A disappointing cruise by GlennL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Concordia (RETIRED) 548 / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

For four retired people this ship was too noisy (many children). Also, we did not receive asequate information concerning the excursion choices. Costa presumes that everybody is internet savvy and can uncover the info themselves.

We loved The Celebrity Century by MimiB96733099

I loved the smaller ship. It was so easy to find everything on board and it never seemed crowded even though it was fully booked.

5 Ports in 7 Days by SharonD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

I liked the ship! I would like some "non kid areas"; people had their children in clubs and the main dinning room. Even the "adult only" hot tub had children.

A Great Vacation by JimG7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Before we went on the cruise I expected it to be a step above Celebrity. Unfortunately I found that it was a step below Celebrity and consequently I was disappointed in the ship. Online services were obsolete and a significant irritant. Online information about the ship and cruise needed for planning purposes was terrible.

A very good cruise by GeraldI

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

There was a deterioration in the dining room's food quality and quantity. The table waiters and the head waiter were excellent. This is the first RC cruise (Diamond Member) that was seven or more days that it did not serve lobster at least once. Most meals were at best average. Members of our party preferred the Windjamer (buffet).

Med cruise by MarkD2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

The ship was very nice and well run. The tours were a bit pricey but well run, and since they were booked through Celebrity did not have to worry about the ship leaving if the tour was late which was a concern considering Italian traffic.
