Amazing canaries cruise with all the family by Finchy6683

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Easy embarkation and did not have to stick to time stated, all staff so warm and welcoming. Great family holiday and we will book again with RCL as we have no complaints.

Great Cruise on a Great ship by woodnpotter

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rotterdam Retired / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

A great cruise with a great itinerary. We enjoyed every day. The only down side was the extremely poor disc jockey (who was listed as the assistant cruise director) in the Crows Nest. She was absolutely clueless on how to read what people would dance to.

Food Rooms and Crew excellent by juliemit

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Excellent Food, Room, and Crew. Not enough room on deck 3 to sit and watch the groups which must be disheartening for them.

Fun mystery cruise by sandy55

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rotterdam Retired / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We really enjoyed this cruise we called it a mystery cruise as the weather was bad and we had to go to different ports and got to spend 5 days in Ireland. We weren't sure what ports we were going to, it was actually fun. The caption mad sure we were safe and that's all that mattered. Would definitely cruise Holland America again.

Nice UK Cruise by UKMummy924

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Loved the itinerary of this cruise. Would have preferred longer days in a few ports. Wish the ship was more up-to-date and had more family-friendly activities and amenities on ship. Also wish there was a self-serve laundry facility.

Great Itinerary by Mary49

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We picked this cruise because of the itinerary and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I guess we have been spoiled by other treats provided to suite guests. The first day we had a bowl of fruit and six stale cookies. The next day some rice crispy treats. Didn’t eat them. That was it! We are use to coming back to our suite in the afternoon to find a little snack or chocolate covered strawberries. Each day was a disappointment. Nothing. We have even received flowers twice, bottles of champagne and wine. Although we did receive a bottle of wine from the concierge, it was bc he was making up for something.

Small ship cruising through Scotland and Ireland by egw1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Star Breeze / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We loved our trip with Windstar Cruises but realize these are not for everyone. If we had it to do again, we would do less of the ship sponsored excursions. The most enjoyable ports were those where we weren't being shuffled around with a tour group. I expect the excursions we were on were better than you might find on the larger ships (most had about 20-25 people) but you still have to move when you are told to move and you aren't free to do what interests you. I will definitely consider hiring a taxi again - I assumed this is very expensive but when you compare the cost to what it would cost to book two excursions, it is pretty cost-effective. Would we cruise with Windstar again - I think so but I haven't found the right trip to take yet. Although we haven't done many cruises, we've been traveling all over the world for many years and just now starting to appreciate the convenience of having our hotel room travel with us. We have done one party cruise, one river cruise, this small ship ocean cruise and have two more booked in the next year.

Not the best experience by steveb1357

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We were happy with the ship, staff and itinerary, but as this was a very short taster cruise our experience was limited and we did not find anywhere to sit quietly away from the loud music.

A nice short getaway by sjluci

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

The reason we picked this particular cruise was because of the Cherbourg port and the d-day tour. We were already in london for several days prior. We really enjoyed it and would cruise out of Southampton again.

Different but enjoyable by katyat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Independance was a nice boat and there is LOADS to do for familys. Just felt like you had to pay for everything, silly amounts $1 here $5 there soon added up. The drinks where quite dear once the 18% had been added on. The muster drill is the one thing that will stick with me. Standing outside in a queue (yet again) watching people who really didn't seem to care about your safety, explaining how to put a life jacket on. Other passengers smoking and a little worse for wear and the person giving the instructions on the PA system was over the top on enthusiasm and quite annoying. In all not really my cup of tea, nothing at all wrong with RCL just didn't really gel with me. Would not rule out RCL completely if the iternerary was good I would still use them.

Had to leave the cruise here, my wife was hospitalized here. Thank the people of Dublin for their help and kindness. The Doctors and Nurses at Mater Hospital are a credit to their profession and we can't thank them enough. Erin go Braugh

Stay Away From Cruising Excursions by ruthgene77

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

This is a fun ship with great ports. The crew is wonderful. Again, I urge you to stay away from Cruising Excursions as they are expensive, inflexible and the tours are terrible. You will do better with Viator.
