Loved the itinerary of this cruise. Would have preferred longer days in a few ports. Wish the ship was more up-to-date and had more family-friendly activities and amenities on ship. Also wish there was a self-serve laundry facility.

The buffet was okay, they attempted to have various themed nights of cuisine for dinner but breakfast and lunch became rather repetitive. The specialty dining restaurant, Cagney’s Steakhouse was great!

My 8 yr-old went to the Splash Academy nearly everyday toward the last few days of the cruise. There were only a few kids on the cruise. I think she just enjoyed the attention she received being the only kid in the center some days.

Ship Quality

The ship was very clean. However, the ship was very outdated. It felt like I was back in the 1980s/90s with the pastel-colored staterooms and bathrooms. It is severe need of an update.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our steward was excellent and kept our cabin clean. The size was okay but the bed was terribly uncomfortable. It was two twin beds pushed together which would separate and create a gap in the middle of the bed.
We did the Loch Ness/Inverness excursion. The bus ride was extremely warm, no AC. We only had about 40 minutes to view Loch Ness Visitors Center and didn’t have time to grab a souvenir as we had to get back on the bus.
This was a tender port. The excursion was nice. But after our excursion, the line for the tender boats back to the ship was over an hour and a half! Hundreds of cruisers were waiting in the rain and blistering wind. They didn’t have enough tender boats as they were breaking down.
We were supposed to do a hop-on hop-off bus tour of Glasgow. So we took a taxi cab from Greenock to Glasgow. Upon our cab entering City Centre, we were sitting in traffic due to the Global Environment Protests which caused major traffic. We decided not to get on the hop-on hop-off bus that we saw were also stuck in traffic. So, we didn’t get to see any of Glasgow and decided to grab lunch and go back to the ship.
Spent two days in this port. Hop-on hop-off bus tour both days. A little chaotic with the timetable given for return shuttle buses back to the ship with a high demand of cruisers while having to stand in inclement weather. Second day was better due to sunny skies.
Took the Blarney Castle excursion. Long lines to kiss the Blarney Stone, so didn’t bother since we had to get back on the bus anyway. So just toured the castle grounds.
