We picked this cruise because of the itinerary and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I guess we have been spoiled by other treats provided to suite guests. The first day we had a bowl of fruit and six stale cookies. The next day some rice crispy treats. Didn’t eat them. That was it! We are use to coming back to our suite in the afternoon to find a little snack or chocolate covered strawberries. Each day was a disappointment. Nothing. We have even received flowers twice, bottles of champagne and wine. Although we did receive a bottle of wine from the concierge, it was bc he was making up for something.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
MDR menus have become very boring and service slow. I feel the waiters and assistants are given too many tables to wait on and this has resulted in slow service. It’s not their fault. They are overworked. If you want quality food and service, go to specialty restaurants. Only went to buffet for lunch. Not a fan of buffets.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Sat by the pool on a sea day. Had no problem finding a lounge. Husband used fitness center almost every day. Only crowded the first day. It had everything he needed.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Beatlemania was fantastic. One of the best shows I have seen. Went to their show on both nights. The other shows we attended were okay.
Children's Programs
No children with us.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Had to give it 4 stars bc of the waiters. Room steward was fantastic. Concierge had some very demanding guests but did everything we asked.
Ship Quality

Had been on the Radiance twice. I was familiar with the layout and prefer the smaller ships.
Always clean.

Very comfortable, lots of room and storage and spotless.
Spent 3 days before boarding Brilliance. Lots to do. Hop on/ hop off bus and canal ride. Anne Frank House (tickets can only be purchased on/line up to 60 days in advance). Not expensive 11 Euros. Not handicap friendly. Must be able to walk stairs. Also toured other museums.
Took shuttle to port for 10 Euros. Walked around. Found a restaurant for my husband to eat grilled octopus. He would give it 5 stars based on the octopus. Did not take an excursion.
Went on excursion to Fátima. Left at 830 and returned at 1615. All aboard at 1630. Tour was well worth it. Unfortunately husband did not go. It was a 2 hr ride each way with no toilet facilities or pit stop. Same excursion was offered in Porto but was 3 hrs each way w/o toilet facilities and no pit stop. Upon return had no time to tour Lisbon. What little I saw from the bus, I would like to return and visit with my husband.
A shuttle bus is available for $9 USD.
Did not go on an excursion. Rode the hop on/ hop off bus. Total time 45 mins. Not much to see. Walked the marbled shopping/restaurant area. Very nice. Once again my husband ate grilled octopus. Said it was delicious.
Docked at terminal which was within walking distance of the town.
Shuttle to town for 10 Euros. Cold rainy day put a damper on this town. Walked around looked at some of the beautiful yachts docked. Tried to eat at a restaurant. It was 1055 and they opened at 1100. Didn’t make an offer for us to sit down. Since it was raining, we left and went back to the ship.
I had only heard great things about this island and maybe on a sunny day it would have been 5 stars.
Spent 3 days here before flying home. Rode the hop on/hop off bus, toured the Sagrada Familia (approx 2hrs) and the last day toured the Montserrat with a stop at a winery and tapas. The last day was a long tour. It was advertised as 6 1/2 hrs but was 8 1/2 hrs.
Beautiful city to walk around.
