Iceland Natural Wonders by msmr1974

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Jupiter / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Viking always does a very good job (have cruised 150+ nights with them). In the current COVID environment they are going way above and beyond. All passengers and crew are vaccinated, all passengers and crew are tested for COVID each morning (quick simple saliva based test with sample left in cabin), masks are worn by all when not actively eating or drinking, all passengers and crew provided contact tracing device, many other protocols in place. As a result we felt very safe the entire time.

Iceland was hot! by mmetzner

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We cruised around Iceland on a great itinerary with beautiful ports of call. The excursions offered a variety of activities and the guides were informative and friendly. The onboard experience was very comfortable and the Covid protocols were not excessive and helped us all stay safe. Iceland is a beautiful place with a lot of hospitality and a Viking cruise is the best way to experience it.

Great to be cruising again, safely! by maritet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

This was our “welcome back to the world” trip. Viking has put in place an excellent health/safety protocol for the ship to keep everything healthy & free of Covid. Daily PCR testing for everyone onboard, masks required in all common areas on & off the bus, everyone had to be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before cruising, we each had contact tracing devices to be worn whenever we were outside our cabin, plus a stated procedure if anyone tests positive for Covid. There is even a dedicated laboratory on the 7th floor where the tests are processed. State-of-the-art. Clear process to keep everyone safe—this was reassuring and really made the trip carefree. The testing & masking & contact tracing neck medallion were not cumbersome, and did not detract from the experience in any way. In fact, this was so well thought out, it made us feel even more loyal to Viking (this was our 3rd Viking ocean cruise).

Fabulous welcome back cruise to Iceland by NancyfromMiami

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Traveling today is difficult and not for the lazy. I must say that Viking provided us with everything we needed to travel to Iceland and when we were on board I always felt safe and well cared for. Getting to and from the cruise was certainly the hardest part. Once on board we simply enjoyed every moment. Viking did their best to make everything perfect. It was not perfect - but it WAS wonderful!

Absolutely fabulous cruise and circumnavigation of Iceland by gymswim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We've done other Viking Ocean cruises but in Europe. But we are so glad we made the effort to fly from the US West Coast to Iceland and see spectacular Iceland by circumnavigating it. Going in July afforded us a chance to have 22 hours of daylight to see so much and experience everything. Viking did everything right! Their Covid protocols were followed by passengers and we felt safe and cared for. Another reason we like Viking so much is because we prefer new smaller ships that still provide more personalized service and where the fare is all inclusive.

Great cruise around the canaries by Carro

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marella Explorer / Destination: Canaries

Cruise was very good, only thing was we were on it when the ports started to close due to the Coronavirus issues. We felt very safe until the last night when it was announced Spain was closing ports, the Captain & staff were very good keeping us informed & trying to keep people occupied.

Fabulous Canaries Cruise by lincbee

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Black Watch / Destination: Canaries

Our first Fred Olsen cruise & based on this experience it won’t be our last! Smaller ship makes cruise more intimate & this offsets having less dining options & less to do on board. Staff are all first class. Service & food was 5 star. Highlights were La Palma, Lanzerote & Cadiz.

Lovely R&R CRUISE JUST AFTER CHRISTMAS! by peter2498

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Victoria / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We enjoyed this cruise as a restfull time. If i was to be uber critical , i dont think i could do more than a few days with Cunard as it is a little quiet. i usually travel with Princess and there is a little more life to the boat. But for a four day rest and relaxation it did the job!!

Not a great cruise by JFeat

This ship seems to have a bit of a cult following, popular with the older generation. Deserted after the last show finishes

Xmas Cruise by harryhal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

Bad weather crossing Bay of Biscay plus medi- vac caused a lost day ... but you have to accept this if travelling in December. Otherwise good trip Ventura in better shape now that last holiday on her in 2015. Very clean.

Awful experience ruined our anniversary and Cunard don’t care by Tracyannesteel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: Canaries

We went Queens Grill to treat ourselves and it was shockingly awful. Cunard promises a wonderful experience with a butler who sees to your every whim.... we never saw ours once. I don’t believe they exist. I need extra pillows to sleep more upright and I asked three times for these but they never came..... like the elusive butler! Our cabin also wasn’t made up in the morning and when returning at lunch time I had to call and get someone to come to do it. Also although I complained on board 3 times about the shoddy service no one did anything about it. Cunard shouldn’t advertise a service they don’t actually provide. It must be false advertisement. To add insult to injury the stewards decided to move our personal belongings off our bed and strip and remake it for the next guest even though we hadn’t even vacated the cabin. We hadn’t even finished packing and had gone for breakfast. Cunard think this is acceptable and even though I complained about the non existent butler, the fact no one acted on my complaints even though I met the concierge face to face and spoke to them on the phone, no chance of an extra pillow and being thrown out of our room by the stewards before we even finished packing. It cost over £900 for two days and it was definitely not worth it. When I complained when I got home Cunard said sorry that was it. So if you want to go on a cruise and be ignored, get frustrated and complain but still be ignored and have an awful time go ahead this is the cruise for you.
