Review summary

We enjoyed this cruise as a restfull time. If i was to be uber critical , i dont think i could do more than a few days with Cunard as it is a little quiet. i usually travel with Princess and there is a little more life to the boat. But for a four day rest and relaxation it did the job!!

Hamburg, Germany

did not like Hamburg, waste of time( although we only did a drive through on the wasy to Medieval Luneburg it did not leave me thinking i wanted to return, pointing out the few sights there were was enough) Luneburg was lovely architecturally but there was nothing to do, not a souviner shop in sight!! I think it was a cold place , very German, i mean you needed an Italian or French ceramic shop at least to browse through to while away the free time you have!! lovely medieval buildings with a co-op underneath or H& M or TK Maxx, Really? Not what I want Give me Sorrento any day!!! I think the practical cold German ways are missing a real trick, i actually had to find the tourist office to buy a fridge magnet?? Really with bus loads of cruise tourists coming in??? Say what you like about the Italians, French Spanish etc.... They would have been selling me magnets etc.. before i left the coach!! And the town would have bveen busstling with atmostphere- sadly lackingin atmostphere, guess thats what you get with corporate businesses everything everywhere the same. Shame
