Wonder cruise in Japan by rtsang88

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Breakfast and lunch at the buffet restaurant is good. There are lots of attendants at the buffet restaurant and tables get clean up pretty fast. Dinner at the main dinning room is not bad either except I do not like the time arrangement, 2 choice of dinner time, either 5:45pm or 7:45pm. You are required to sit at the same table and at the same restaurant. Another I hate is captain night which request you bring a suit. The entertainment on board is pretty good. Since it is a cruise go around Japan, more than half are Japanese. The on-shore excursion for Japanese speaking is about 30% cheaper than the English speaking tours.

Fair-dining not good. by w9oh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Skipping Saigon at last minute was a disappointment. Food quality not good-Windjammer constantly being reminded to eat and leave by loud announcements. Food in Dining room not much better. Food in Coastal Kitchen for suites was better. Pizza wasn't even good. Felt food was cheapest they could get their hands on and serve. Did not eat in speciality rest. as we feel we can eat anywhere on shore for prices charged so why do that on ship-maybe we have a strange attitude. No activity to discuss ports or history of ports on sea days. Lack of sea day activity except at the pool. Ship charged for about every activity-drink packages very expensive and internet at $20/day is very high. Feel like once on board you are being fleeced at every opportunity by RC. RC has really slipped-been on about 6 RC cruises and earlier ones good-will not do RC again.

Roundtrip Shanghai by downonmyuppers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

The staff etc were brilliant but as this is a cruise from China we were a very small minority of Europeans there just before the F1 race. They take over and are rather noisy and pushy.

Good time but maybe not celebrity again by lodge23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Too much of a us and them feel certain areas/restaurants/ theatre seats reserved for the high end passengers and staff seemed to look after them more and looked down on others never had that with other cruise lines sometimes felt uncomfortable. It was the destinations that we booked the cruise for which were great but maybe go with our usual cruise line next time

Enjoyable cruise by cjsc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Columbus / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Cabin was excellent, loads of storage, comfy bed, quiet. Public areas including bars, theatre, open decks all very nice. Plenty of sunbeds available. Staff on the whole extremely good. Entertainment team very talented but unfortunately only did three shows in two weeks . They also did solo performances which were not as good. Uk guest acts were average. Food ranged from ok to very good but was usually spoilt by being unbelievably salty. With the majority of passengers being over 65 I'm sure some will have blood pressure, heart and kidney problems so salty food not the best for them!! Only one formal night out of 14 then 13 casual nights was also disappointing, but obviously didn't spoil our enjoyment. Would do it again!

Absolutely amazing cruise by MeganLW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

All staff were wonderful, and we really enjoyed the entertainment. Our only issue was our port excursions. All of the excursions we chose, and paid good money for, were listed as needing moderate walking abilities. Many times we had people with mobility scooters and walking frames which held up departure made boarding and disembarking buses difficult and slow. As lovely as the tour guides were it was frustrating continuously waiting for people that were not able to walk up stairs or traverse simple inclines.

Diamond Princess Asian repositioning by helenac

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

This is my second Princess cruise, I would have to have a serious think about booking another. Unfortunately it was the destination rather than the cruise line that made me book this cruise.

Great ship. Best cruise. by GregPet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Sydney is the perfect harbour. Evening cocktails in the Commodore's Lounge was the best. Very enlightening educational talks in the theatre. Wonderful high teas in the Queen's Room. Great pub lunches every day in the Red Lion Pub. Luxurious balcony cabin. Staff and food were top notch.

Great crew, disappointed in food service by Bill847

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Meeting new people and doing our own self guided travel was the best part of our cruise. The biggest disappointment was the food service, the food was dumbed down to feed the unknowing tourists, we have tasted better Asian meals at fast food chains.

Interesting Far East Cruise by don24

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Cant up load on this site. In comparison to MSC, Celebrity and CMV Royal comes way down on my list. Would have liked to visit other countries only two was given. Very ;limited. Food was great on board, the staff excellent. Would go to the area again but not with Royal Caribbean.

Not what I expected by wendyduff

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

I have to be honest and say I did not enjoy Vietnam at all. I would never go back and was disapointed how 3rd world it really is. Im glad Ive seen what I have seen - but willl never return. Taiwan was great - the 1 oport I saw due to me being sick. The ovver all cruise was great - we met lovely people at out MDR Dining Table and will keep in contact. Maybe our expetations were too high after our last cruise to Alaska. It wont stop us cruising but I wouldnt return to those countries.
