Review summary

Skipping Saigon at last minute was a disappointment. Food quality not good-Windjammer constantly being reminded to eat and leave by loud announcements. Food in Dining room not much better. Food in Coastal Kitchen for suites was better. Pizza wasn't even good. Felt food was cheapest they could get their hands on and serve. Did not eat in speciality rest. as we feel we can eat anywhere on shore for prices charged so why do that on ship-maybe we have a strange attitude. No activity to discuss ports or history of ports on sea days. Lack of sea day activity except at the pool. Ship charged for about every activity-drink packages very expensive and internet at $20/day is very high. Feel like once on board you are being fleeced at every opportunity by RC. RC has really slipped-been on about 6 RC cruises and earlier ones good-will not do RC again.

Ship tip

Food not good. Golden Correl is better. Too many passengers. Activities for younger passengers. Pixel show good. Skipped Saigon port and added a beach port-probably because RC wouldn't pay the port fees, they claim Saigon had no room.

We recently on Ovation for 27 Days, getting off the ship in Singapore,we found the food to be very good,even spaciality,We often asked of Waiter if they could provide something NOT ON THE MENU,Which they did,and it was delicious.The entertainment programme both during the Day and of an Evening was also to be acknowledged,we have had to criticize Royal on occasions,but the Majority of times they have been First Class.If you have a criticism then fine,Drinks packages and Internet,can generally be purchased,prior to sailing at a Discount,if you have sailed before,you should have an idea of the prices already.you only have 1 cruise listed in your profile,so scepticism must be given to fellow cruisers,looking for fair and honest comments,happy and safe Cruising xxxx

The ovation has tons of free activities, and free locations to get food. Drink packages are expensive on every cruise line, which is why free beverages are always available. It’s totally possible to eat, drink and play for no more than what you paid for the cruise, especially on Ovation. I’m actually a little skeptical of your review.

Hm, actually kind of good to know as NCL was just the same: wvwry opportunity they had was used to make money, and you get charged for everything, even the 'free' shows or for most 'complimentary dining' options
