Great trip! by coolrider

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Ive been to AK a few times. If you have never been go on Princess or Holland America. On those cruise lines you can go into town and do an excursion with better docks. On NCL you must choose between one or the other. Since we have been before and like NCL ships we dont mind.

A very memorable Alaska cruise by ronarchuleta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Eurodam

This was my first Alaska cruise, and I definitely picked the right line. I loved going to Alaska on HAL. I'm not the "party cruise" type. This was a relaxing, and upscale experience. The EXC talks in the World Stage really enhanced my cruise. I learned so much about Alaska and the ports before I had even arrived. The entertainment was top-notch. I would definitely recommend Eurodam to anyone.

Enjoyable Cruise with Brothers and Their Wives by dbjackmd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Eurodam

Very effective involvement with Southeastern Alaska with good viewings from the balcony. Attended with a company of 8, 4 brothers and their wives. After the first night, we had to make arrangements to dine together, as we were not placed with each other by the cruise ship, even though we scheduled together.

Amazing Alaska Cruise by FoxFamily03

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

The cruise was amazing. Alaska is beautiful and pictures don't do it justice. The enormity of the mountains and landscape are indescribable. We were supposed to do Glacier Bay the morning before Juneau and skipped it for some reason..... Disappointed.

Great trip, we had a wonderful time. by dmckinney

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Sun

We had good weather which made the excursions great. Norwegian had a lot of activities on Sea days and kept us busy. The food was wonderful and there was never a wait at restaurants or bars. As indicated above, the Sun is a significantly smaller ship than others. We did this same cruise in 2021 on a bigger Norwegian ship and hit a cyclone coming back and never felt the waves. This ship moved a lot more even without a storm. The buffet was great but didn't mix up the food choices during the cruise. We couldn't get a "regular" spot and wait staff at the complementary restaurants and ended up being moved around. This is OK, but I do like other cruise lines that make dining more personal. Don't worry about dressing up. My wife always dresses up for dinner, but very few people did. My wife has a walker and we found it was harder to get around on this boat as the elevators were small and walkways narrow in the buffet and other places. I think this is just a problem with the fact that the boat is smaller than others.

Beautiful scenery, take advantage of excursions, upgrade your food options to non-buffet areas, take advantage of boat entertainment, get rest.

It was an amazing experience by anastassialover

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

I went with my young children and had an excellent experience, very comfortable . The food was amazing, the shows were the best shows I've seen on a cruise (we went to a show every night). The staff was incredibly friendly! I would definitely repeat this cruise again.

Rainy September in Alaska. by SullyLisa0314

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

Great experience. Only complaint was that it rained every day, all day! Other than the weather it was a nice trip to Alaska and the staff on Royal Caribbean are amazing.

Money down the drain by Lizzzzz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

The doctor got neg Covid on my first visit. On second I was positive for Covid. He gave me Tamaflu which isn’t the drug prescribed for Covid. I’m still very sick. The. Room service menu is horrid. I paid for good food everyday but didn’t get it. I paid to be entertained everyday but Covid killed that.I think I should be reimbursed for three days at least.

Great time despite the Skagway cancellation. by donmiller6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Encore

Only disappointment was the Observation deck. The views were amazing. It was great except you rarely could get a seat. People camping out. Families hoarding areas all day. People sleeping. we get it, people what to relax. It was a observation area not a room! The morning of Glacier bay, it was packed by 7 am, chairs were reserved but no one in them. Their loss, the views were much better from outside.

Service not great, food even worse by rms1350

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Eurodam

I wasn't really impressed with food quality, restaurant selections other than steakhouse or with variety of shows. The only thing I found to be better than other cruise line ships is really few children, less rowdy people older mature groups of people and nice size pool.

Too late in the season by webbdh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Eurodam

The ship was good but very disorganized Lido was closed during certain time so hard to get anything to eat during those times and if a big majority of people were looking to eat there was limited setting. The ports visited were too short stop at Victoria shouldn’t even happened. Lucky we had been there twice before not on a cruise. One of the worse cruises we have been on!

Overall, we ha a good time and are happy we went. BJ's Travel provided many alternatives for the cruise location we wanted and I'm sure we will begin our search for our next cruise there.
