Alaska - Gulf of Alaska Cruise Reviews

This was an amazing cruise that I highly recommend. The southern route is not as popular as the northern route so the ship was not at full capacity which made it very nice. The dining was excellent and the staff was superb.

The cruise was lovely despite the weather and cancellation of helicopter flight to Mendenhall Glacier. Cruising the inland waterways to see the glacier was difficult due to heavy fog. However, the cruise was far more enjoyable than the land tour portion.

The excursions we took were okay, I think they're overpriced. The Juneau food tour was expensive for what you got. I would have prefered eating a whole crab at Tracy's King Crab Shack than what we got for what we paid. The dinner whale watching cruise was mediocre. We saw just as many whales from the ship & the food was terrible. Probably should have taken the non food whale watching tour but thought it was going to be great local food. Again, I know there are issues coming off Covid.

The onboard experience suffered heavily because of the lack of commitment of the staff to keep entertainment or food/drinking areas available for the full time they are supposed to be available. The itinerary of stops was amazing, but all the cruise ships hit these stops...shop find the best deal you can and choose that cruise line!

We really enjoyed this anniversary cruise. The wildlife and natural beauty of the areas we visited were truly amazing.

We will not be cruising again for a long time, maybe never. Covid made things very difficult with testing and Canadian requirements. People are not careful when they are sick, making it easy to spread communicable illnesses. We are currently sick and in quarantine in Canada for 10 days. The trip to the ER was expensive as is staying quarantined in a hotel during peak season. This has disrupted our travel for a trip we had piggybacked out of Vancouver, for which we may or may not be reimbursed. It is unlikely we will ever be back in the area for the missed trip. Too costly. Masks, vaccinations and boosters were no protection. Buses, trains and dining rooms were all filled to capacity. You save, plan and then all falls to ruin due to the carelessness of others.

Nice cruise. Expected a better night life. Seemed like everything closed early. Was disappointed by the Persian Garden, not worth what we paid for.

This was our 3rd cruise to Alaska but 1st time with Princess & 1st landtour. Not sure we would book with Princess again but we really enjoyed our time in Alaska & we even saw Mt Denali twice!

good ports , food and service as expected, entertainment some good some outdated. some areas restricted or too many extra fees, , ship too big snd crowded all the time.

This was one of the most beautiful cruises I have taken. We were well cared for, and comfortable. We were able to see so many lovely and exciting places.

Good cruise but Princess was missing on some of the details. Only one pickleball net for two pickleball courts. Internet access was very less than adequate. Meal quality and selection did not compare to other cruises. Medallion communication system a great idea but many bugs yet to be worked out.

Why do you thing this is my second cruise? The first was perfect so try again, and it's perfect. So I will keep going until I prove it is not perfect then I stop.

The trip overall was amazing. Would like to see Princess work on their medallion app. Very unreliable and frustrating at times.

Disappointed with this cruise. Not Celebrity normal standards. We did end up catching Covid aboard this cruise but may have been on shore as all standards possible were taken on ship. I will say due to entertainment and activities being so boring most likely won’t sail Celebtity next cruise. Most expensive cruise ever and most boring

Overall the trip was enjoyable and with the cruise through Prince William Sound and stop in Whittier, we got to see some beautiful parts of Alaska that aren't on most of the Alaskan cruise agendas. As mentioned, we were hugely disappointed in the Hubbard Glacier visit and the lack of communication from the captain on this ship. The entertainment staff were all very friendly and approachable by the passengers. Their presence before and after the shows was a pleasant surprise and something we had not witnessed on most of our previous cruises.

A great weather experience really made this an awesome trip. We had great views of the glaciers and good excursions in the ports of call. The ship had some wonky design features, but we had good service/

This was just a wonderful experience. everything was great and Alaska is spectacular. The weather was perfect, in the 70's most days with little to no rain.

The land portion of our trip was exhausting! We were in a different lodge 3 nights with very early morning departures (which didn't help the jet lag). People on the. motor coaches did not wear masks but we did. The actual cruise was very nice. The itinerary is TOO tight. Not enough time to really experience the environment. Not sure why Ketchikan was taken out of the itinerary. Wish we had done a Whale Watching excursion.

We love NCL and the Jewel. This was an excellent itinerary and each port a new and different surprise. Alaska is a new favorite vacation that everyone should do at least once.
