The check-in process was alright, with the fear our luggage wasn't going to get to our rooms in a timely fashion. The personnel which help in the parking lot were very quiet with angry looks until tipped. As a first time cruiser, the unknown etiquette was frustrating.

If you are there early for check in and have nothing to do, go on the free shuttle that takes you around town to kill time. Great shopping mall on the route.

Hate LA traffic but we shuttled from the airport to the port. Port was easy and beautiful. Next time we will go see the Queen Mary.

I got to LA early and took Super Shuttle to and from Airport, hotel and pier. I went to Disneyland for 3 Days. I wouldn't recommend going during Halloween or Christmastime simply because locals like to go then to in order to see themed rides and decorations. I would recommend Super Shuttle, as long as you are ok with carpooling with other passengers.
