Review summary

We made the best of the situation we had. The first problem was the muster drill which took 1.5 hours in the blazing sun!!  Then the tenders to get people off the ship in Cabo San Lucas took over 3 hours!!  With only a 6.5 hour stop that was unacceptable to say the least. If you are looking for a cheap cruise this is it, but you get what you pay for. The type of people reflect the price of the cruise. Most people didn't bother to dress for formal night in the dining room and when it was casual night a lot of people wore baseball hats, which is not allowed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

As usual the buffets are all bland. The dining room was a little better.

Nothing exciting

Entertainment

The 2 comedians were hilarious and the best entertainment on the cruise.

Ship tip

Don't go. Choose another cruiseline. I've been on Carnival twice and wont go back again.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

If you are there early for check in and have nothing to do, go on the free shuttle that takes you around town to kill time. Great shopping mall on the route.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Don't go on this cruise if you want to see Cabo. They can't get you off the ship fast enough to explore the area in a decent amount of time.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We had an awesome time on the February 11-18th cruise. Muster took less than 20 min. Tender took us right away with absolutely no line. The food was very good as were the staff. They all went out of their way to help. This was our 12th Carnival cruise and we can't wait for the next. By the way, on formal night guests that were not properly dressed were asked to leave.

why did the muster drill take so long?

Hmmm, was this the January 29, 2017 cruise by chance? Muster drill was out of their control... Baseball caps I agree with, super annoying... We still had a blast, it was our first cruise and had no idea what to expect.
