Really only good for a first timer, drinker, and bar scene type. Fabulous water sports, but only a few hours in port is not enough.

It was nice, I did not do an excursion, I just walked around the island. I wish there were more signs right at port pointing in directions of places to go, like Duval St., Hemmingway house, the beach, ect.

There are some nice looking buildings and some pretty places at Key West. We had hoped to dock at Navy Mole Pier and go to the main Base across the bridge. As it was, we walked to the Navy Base closest to us and went to the Navy's "Mini Mall". We've driven to Key West some years before. It's sad there are businesses who jack up their prices when cruise ships come in. There was an Irish pub that we went to. We were looking for a place that was not crowded to get something to eat. As it was, it was too loud, and the guy singing was too vulgar. It was as though they didn't care there were children outside the pub, which was open. Fortunately, we found a Thai restaurant, which was very good. The Thai restaurant is called "Thai Cuisine and Sushi Bar".

Everything was at a walking distance. You must catch the trolley to get to the town.

Find the bar with the bottomless mimosas until noon and you'll be set for the day. No excursions necessary.

Love Key West. Don't miss the Little White House, the Hemingway House and the Audubon House. All three have excellent tour guides.
