This port was pretty good even with a broken embarkment deck.

Embarkation and debarkation were one of the best we have ever had.

It was okay. Traveled there on our own, lots going on, no excursion planned. Just ok, not a place I’d plan a visit to if I weren’t cruising.

Galveston is very nice, but we didn't do any sightseeing here this time.

Stayed overnight the night before the cruise at the Howard Johnson, $93.00 and I got to leave my truck there during the cruise instead of paying the $115.00 to park at the port. There is no additional charge to park at the Howard Johnson as long as you stay at least one night there and where you park is well lit and near the office and they have security patrols through the area quite frequently. Left my truck there for 8 days and when I got back it was exactly how I left it.

Galveston is only 45 minutes from home and we love our port.

Stayed at a wonderful B&B Lost Bayou and took in a show across from the Tremont Hotel. Nice.
