Getting onboard gets easier and easier in Galveston. While the port terminal is older than dirt, Carnival keeps making it easier and easier for the boarding process
Be patient. No matter how efficient the process is, when you deal with thousands of people there will be delays.

We live 34 miles from here, so cruising out of Galveston is a breeze(a Carnival Breeze that is)

Our favorite home port ❤️ We’re native Texan’s and hope that Carnival will branch out to more destinations from the port of Galveston ❤️ Cuba, Dominican, etc.
Galveston is a very nice port. We left from there on our first few cruises, and found it was very easy to get in and out of, and seem to be very well run. The staff was always extremely courteous and helpful. Growing up in the Houston area, Galveston Island itself has always been one of my favorite places. I highly recommend the cruise port, and a trip to Galveston Island as well.
I always find everyone at the Port of Galveston to be very friendly. Maybe it's a Texas thing? I'm from Dallas so I'm partial to Texas hospitality

We saw many dolphins while waiting for the ship to take off.

My favorite port! We live in Louisiana but always choose Galveston as our port. Easy boarding and I love spending the night before in Galveston! The Pleasure Pier is always fun and there’s good food always. Starbucks next to port is our go to spot before we board!
We love Galveston. Going to the Strand for shopping and having a beer. Go ride the Ferry and see dolphins. So much to do. We normally go a day or 2 before the cruise and spend time on the island.
