This port was great! No excursion was done here but only because I frequently visit Galveston!

Galveston had upgraded its port and it is much cooler, faster, professional, and friendly.

The new RCL cruise terminal is great. But make sure you head there early. Lots of delays on the highway.

There are many great restaurants in Galveston. We enjoyed our stay.

The new terminal in Galveston is massive. Galveston itself is an amazing island and is way bigger than I thought. Just don't stay at the LaQuinta on the South Sea Wall. Doc Hollidays Roadhouse is amazing, We had dinner there the night beforeour cruise. The homemade Ranch dressing is a must get if you are having a salad or fries.

Stayed night before cruise and did own exploring. Easy travel to port the next morning.

Carnival Jubilee is a big ship. There were approximately 6700 guests on board, not including about 1700 crew. Traffic trying to get to the pier to drop off our luggage was unbelievable. There's just one lane for cars trying to get to the ship so allow extra of time or you'll miss your scheduled boarding time.
