Didn't spend any time exploring Galveston. Spent the night before, but didn't go out.

Galveston is a fun little island, and it's worth coming in a day early to go to the sea wall, Moody Gardens, the Hurricane Museum, and definitely go up the road to the Houston Space Center if you've never been. If you do that, read the book "Apollo 8," first. Everything will mean much more.

We were concerned when they had a oil spill two weeks prior but all was good and we were able to leave on schedule

We left & returned here. It's our home port - not a fan because the water is brown and it stinks

We spent too little time here to rate but the La Quinta was a decent place to stay, very close to the port and free good breakfast.
