Review summary

Was a very fun vacation and much needed . They show movies on the Lido deck at they also have an IMAX theater with current movies that are showing in theaters but you have to pay extra for it I did not go to the steakhouse because it was too expensive if you want to steak order it from a dining room that way you don’t have to pay $35 just to eat a steak. We were not able to do the sky ride attraction I guess that was too windy because of the hurricane that was in the golf however they will let you do it when you are in Port. Very nice staff very professional and great cruise director keep up the good work

Chris, The Flying Scotsman is such a great cruise director he’s great with children as well. He’s very great at his job. He’s also very personable. I thoroughly enjoyed when I went to one of his shows. Great singer too but I lmao a lot at him. You couldn’t find a better cruise director, it’s apparent he was made for this.

Ship tip

I’d say avoid the lido deck unless you like bunches of crowds. There is plenty of places to go to stay busy. Check out the Havana pool after 7 then you can swim.

We did the hop on hop off bus. There was only 4 people after we hit margaritaville. We went shopping and that was fun. We went to ‘fun beach’ the water was beautiful. Unfortunately for us the couple that stayed on the bus took too long shopping so our beach time was then cut we were there maybe an hour at most it upset me but I did get to see the beach. I suggest if you do that hop on hop off get off at Margaritaville and take public transportation to where you need to go because the taxis are more expensive!

Very nice port super sweet people. My mom and I did the dolphin discovery royal package. We got to interact with 2 dolphins oh my this was so much fun they had a baby dolphin in there. The handler asked us not to pet the baby because mother Alma was protective naturally so. The baby kept coming up to where we were. There was a black ball close to him, so I being a kid at heart threw it and we were playing catch lol. When we rode back on the dorsal fins the dolphins swim close to you. It was so awesome to interact with these flippers lol. You can go to dolphin discovery.com they have one in Cozumel and other ports you may visit. You will find all kinds of packages here if the one I mentioned is too expensive they do offer transportation to and from port. Kids will love this! Highly recommend ok my chapter is over lol

This was fun i parasailed here so much fun! Mom and I went to Playa Mia this is a waterpark with beach access you can also snorkel here they offer transportation to and from port. They also have the option to add a Buffett and open bar. If you decide to forego the waterpark you can rent an umbrella for $8 when you leave you will get $4.00 back. That is the same for renting a locker which are very roomy. They have different packages available google search playa mia I believe it’s playamia.com but not sure. They have chat agents who will help you with a program. Its more if you decide to pay at the park. They have a trampoline in the water, parasailing, and jet skiing very friendly people!

Disembarkation

The way this disembarkation went was a low point for me. The way Carnival called people off the decks people were just standing around, elevators were very packed especially with people who decided to self embark and that is the option I chose. Next time I will not do that. Galveston port was ok there are some things they can improve on first being turning an air condition on people were confused on where to go. Better communication is needed.

I agree with chadley77, can’t compare steak you get in the dining room to the steak house.

Just tried the Steakhouse on our 11th cruise to see what all the hype was about.... it was well worth it. Thanks for your reviews! Glad y'all had a good time making sweet memories!

Its well worth the extra money for the steakhouse!

The regular steak you order off the dining menu isn't all that great. We went to the steakhouse on the Sunshine in May and loved it.

If you do want the really good steak in the dining room you still have to pay extra. Going to the steakhouse is the best and worth the money.
