Seemed like the terminal was not prepared to handle heavy rains and getting everyone to the terminal from the parking lot.

Non-covered parking was $45 for our cruise. Have shuttle bus taking you to/from parking area and the terminal.

We stayed over night on our own in Galveston. It was very busy loud and the hotel we chose was not good. I would avoid the Gaido Seaside Inn. Staff were standoffish and almost rude. Hotel was dated, misty and loud.
