My first cruise but my wife's 6th. Great time ready to sail again
Embarkation
4 out of 5
A little chaotic but fairly straightforward
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Experienced the main dining room, Chops Grill, Johnny Rockets, and the Windjammer. Good was always excellent. The staff were awesome and went out of their way to be helpful and add to our vacation experience
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We didn't really do a lot on board. A veterans get together on the first day was great and Bourbon tasting we attended informative and fun. We like the Solarium because it was quieter than the main deck but the pool was always crowded.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Again we didn't get around to the shows except for the last night. We had late dining so it was late by the time we had eaten. Usually after dinner we walked although one evening we watched Wonder woman up at the pool and that was fun.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Always ready to help The y were awesome!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
A constant clean up I'm sure but everyone appeared happy in their work
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Comfortable and fairly quiet except on the balcony where we could hear a screaming baby but that was not an issue
Ship tip
Enjoy everything the shop has to offer. You can be as busy or lazy as you want.
We stayed over night on our own in Galveston. It was very busy loud and the hotel we chose was not good. I would avoid the Gaido Seaside Inn. Staff were standoffish and almost rude. Hotel was dated, misty and loud.
Ready to move there! We went to the Turtle sanctuary and swimming with the Stingrays. We had a blast. Everyone was great. The only thing I wish we had known is to eat before the excursion because there was no time to get anything and we were hungry by the end of the day.
My wife and I did separate excursions in Jamaica. She did a Journey Back in Time to the plantation house and really enjoyed it. I did river tubing and zip line and had a blast!! What great guides and a wonderful experience
