We drove in a day early and stayed and parked at Gaido’s Seaside Inn. Nice hotel and they shuttles us to the port for our cruise after a hot breakfast the next day! Only $90 for the room and they let us park our car there for the cruise. Taxi back after cruise was $11 plus tip. Beautiful place!!

This is our hometown so we didn't do an excursion. The port itself could have been cleaner and more organized.

No not at the Galveston port, even though there is restaurants and shops there for you to go see and a restaurant names Willie G's has great tasting seafood but you need reservations for this place because it is crowded.

Our ship boarding was delayed because of fog, so we had hours to kill. Because it was a Sunday, we couldn’t buy a beer while we waited. All the shops around were also closed. We ended up just sitting on a curb twiddling our thumbs for five hours.

I liked the town but the motel was horrible---don't stay at Motel 6 in Galveston. the beds were horrible and they charge for Wi-Fi !!!

Very hectic lines getting off the boat we were delayed getting off 4-5 hours because of the fog didn’t get off the boat till 3:45 customs was very strict and so was the tsa my family brought the soda packs brand new unopened and they cut open the box and too all the cans out and then didn’t tape the box shut parking is so far from the port you have to take a shuttle , also my bag was checked and I understand the reasoning but they opened my tooth paste and never closed and so my whole tube of top the pasted basically bust all in my shower kit bag and got all over my make up hair stuff it was a huge mess
