Stay at Galvez or Tremont park free and use shuttles for your cruise. Perfect way to start your trip. Excellent ppl, I wasn’t thrilled with Lighthouse parking.

Stayed at the Four Points on the water. Very nice hotel for the price. Great local restaurants for seafood. My only recommendation is to arrange your transportation early because it was very busy as expected around 10:00 to 12:00.

Spent the weekend in Galveston prior to boarding and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will do that the next time also. We only touched the surface what there was to see and do (mostly because the weather was bad.)

Several passengers on the Carnival Dream returned to Galveston after a 8 days cruise to the Bahamas only to find out once the reached port that 37 bags were dropped into the Gulf of Mexico when they were being unloaded from the ship. Myself and my roommate list 3 bags to this incident. We are currently still waiting to hear back from carnival.
