Galveston port is just that place to get from the terminal to the ship. It doesn’t offer any coffee shops or any place to enjoy the view of the water so it’s definitely industrial. If your used to the New Orleans port or other ports that offer that type of enjoyment then be prepared

We were on this trip because of a celebrity dance competition. Our time in Galveston allowed us to get to see some old friends we haven't seen in several years.

We live in Texas and go to Galveston on beach vacations once or twice a year anyway. Love Galveston and there are some things to do there, wonderful restaurants and can recommend the Galveston Party boats for inexpensive bay fishing.

We drove to the port. Parking, shuttles, porters, etc was a bit chaotic. The port of Galveston staff were trying to make the embarkation process smooth & quick but a few were quite rude in the way they spoke to passengers. I got snappy right back. I did not like the way it made me feel rushed & frantic. We could see that they were trying new methods to improve this process from our last visits. We applaud the effort. It just needs fine tuning.

Love the ferry ride!! Beautiful to see the dolphins swimming by the ferry! Made it very easy to get on and off the ship. Customs was crowded and took a while but overall it was very pleasant!!

We love Galveston because it is close to our home. The flooding on embarkation day was horrible and we had a hard time getting there. Debarkation was much easier and thankfully, our car started. Considering the depth of water we went through we were very pleased. I can't say enough good things about Port Parking.
